it was wild moving to california & learning that many of the monarch butterflies migrate east to west, not north to south like they do east of the sierra nevadas this is a cluster of overwintering monarchs on a eucalyptus in pacific grove's monarch sanctuary (sorry it's backlit, early morning) 🌿🐛🦋

after we cleaned up, a pair of ravens flew over us, croaking & swooping between each other, then as we reached our car, the same ravens flew by us again no tears this time, my grandma was calming & grounding compared to my grandpa & I knew I made the right choice connecting w/ her to heal
