Aid funding cuts are closing clinics in Sudan. That doesn't mean less patients. That means people are pushed to reach medical care further away, on more expensive and dangerous journeys.   It doesn't have to be this way. Sudan needs the world to act now, not later.

Have you heard of the new drug lenacapavir? It’s nearly 100% effective at preventing HIV. The problem: It’s not available everywhere, and it is far too expensive. Let’s change that: Two shots. $40. Everywhere.

During my visit to Darfur, Sudan, I met @msf.org colleagues at Zalingei hospital, where drone strikes regularly occur just outside the walls. During mass casualty events, they work under intense pressure to save lives. The world must not look away from the conflict in Sudan.

I visited Zalingei Teaching hospital in Central Darfur, Sudan, earlier this month. The hospital had been bombed and looted and I was proud to see the work that our teams had achieved in restoring healthcare to people – something that should never have been lost.

Ten years after the UN Security Council adopted resolution 2286, reaffirming protection of medical facilities and personnel, attacks on healthcare still continue. That attacks still occur is a failure of political will.  www.msf.org/joint-call-icrc-who-and…

10 years ago today, the UN Security Council adopted Resolution 2286. Over 80 Member States committed to protect medical humanitarian work. Yet @msf.org is sharing the same message from 2016: 🔴 Stop bombing hospitals. 🔴 Stop bombing health workers. 🔴 Stop bombing patients.

Three words to describe three years of war in Sudan: catastrophe, atrocities, impunity. These words don’t just describe a ‘humanitarian situation’, they are the daily reality of people and communities — and this continues because of political failure. #TalkAboutSudan

Why Chopper? Why now? Because we believe in helping those in need of medical care, regardless of ethnicity, religion, or politics. This is something Chopper and @msf.org share. Watch the journey begin by following: www.msf.org/ChopperJoinsMSF   #MSFxCHOPPER

In 2014, I visited eastern DRC, where @msf.org teams were treating sleeping sickness - the only available treatment was a drug so toxic it killed 1 in 20 patients. In 2026 I'm so proud that, thanks to @dndi.org, patients can be cured with a single dose of a groundbreaking new oral drug, acoziborole.

Yesterday, I briefed the UN Security Council about the eastern region of the DRC. I urged the Council to find the will to insist that civilians are not expendable, and that their rights to safety and dignity are non-negotiable. Read my full address: msf.me/UNSC-address

Horror is unfolding in El Fasher, Sudan. People are seemingly trapped in the city, and @msf.org teams 60 km away are receiving malnourished people among those who have managed to escape. Civilians must be urgently protected, and safe escape routes must be provided.

The progress made by the Global Fund in the fight against HIV, tuberculosis, and malaria is under threat because of funding cuts. The UK, Canada, US, and Germany, need to act now and pledge to fund their lifesaving work around the world. Tag your elected representative.

My colleague Hussein was a dedicated nurse and father. Yesterday, he died of injuries from an Israeli airstrike in Gaza. Our thoughts are with Hussein’s wife and young children. His killing isn't a tragic accident, it's unacceptable proof that no one is safe from genocide.

The Global Sumud Flotilla on its way to Gaza is an act of protest and a show of support for Palestinians enduring annihilation through Israel’s genocide. I’m wishing the flotilla success. At @msf.org, we support this action of solidarity and humanity.
