Oh. So what you're saying is that an AI token is basically the equivalent of the old IBM blue job card? In that case, why didn't you just say that in the first place? | 👴🏻

So, @bluefacts.app, we want to make sure we're interepreting this correctly: for instance, in the case of « Daily Likes on Bluesky » are you saying for every 100 likes seven days ago, there would have been 83.8 likes today? That is, down by 16.2%? Or is there something we're missing? Thanks. | 🦋

Well, that's pretty much the coolest thing we've seen in a while. 😳 Next up, seeing if we can use @skyfeed.app to incorporate the detection of your labels into custom feeds. Which you likely know already, right?

Although we have never used them and can't vouch for them firsthand, these folks claim that they can sell digital copies of the issues for which you are looking. pocketmags.com/ca/net-magaz...

Zip ties so the net result approaches a well-executed wiring loom on a car. And no leaving the excess zip tie 'tail' after you pull it tight(ish) — the rule is that it *must* be clipped off. It's strangely satisfying work. Or better yet, cable lacing. Good thing dreaming is free. (📸 See ALT)
Electrical cables with woven covers tied together with a series of cords into neat bundles. Original caption from source: « The wiring on the main control panel is organized and bundled neatly. Every wire is easy enough to trace by eye. The bundling is done with a technique called "cable lacing". A series of knots and stitches from a continuous piece of wax-impregnated cotton or twine is used to bundle cables together. It takes some practice, but it'll outperform zip ties in that it won't crush the insulative jackets on wiring and that it's not going to shift axially on you if it's loose. Likewise, my bundles have a rectangular cross section. Zip ties can't conform and keep bundle shapes other than ellipses. » (📸 ImpulseLabs via Wikimedia under CC BY-SA 2.0, cropped)

Don't know if this fits your brief, but it's highly recommended. Side benefit: if you've ever wanted to know how much of 'Chinatown' (the movie) was real and how much of it was made up, this is the book. | 📚

Y'know, if you're still actively reading or posting on that other platform (hint: 🐦), you're actually part of the problem rather than part of the solution. While we're on the subject, if you screenshot the latest outrage from there and post here, that ain't helping, either. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Although @lostaviatorcoffee.bsky.social are not in Ottawa proper, if you contact them ahead of time, they really should be able to help you out. Well worth the effort. www.lostaviatorcoffee.com

Hey, @jay.bsky.team, are you still hiring for this position? We know a few folks who we think would be ideal and who have applied yet they haven't heard a peep. Perhaps the position has already been filled? jobs.gem.com/bluesky/am9i...

Don't think @danabra.mov will mind us posting this on the BluReact ⚛️ feed. Sounds like a great opportunity for somebody who is into both Bluesky and React.
An image of a Bluesky job description entitled: « Product Designer ». It goes on to describe the role with « This position is for our first full-time product designer, in a role that will let you create and oversee the UX and visual aesthetic of the next great social app, already in use daily by millions. You will help shape the future of social networking on a global scale. We're a small team that rapidly juggles many priorities to make an outsized impact. We're constantly adding features and refining flows, so we need an experienced designer who can establish systems that will enable us to move fast while maintaining the high level of quality our users deserve. » The rest of the image contains additional details of the position.

To our absolute horror 😱 the neat little 'feeds' logo has been replaced with #️⃣ on both the @bsky.app mobile and web apps. This is giving us severe acid flashback ... and not in a good way. Please rethink this, folks.
