I like the Mantis arms on her hips like a skirt but idk... I was maybe onto something with having them cross over her chest. 🤔

A little late but I really wanted to join in on this trend. Meg has always been a character I felt for and at times related too. I'm glad the fandoms now are giving Meg her flowers.

What's a better way to start a Sunday morning than with my horror art of my Mantis Fae, Priah, shedding her exoskeleton?

My second Master's is in Art Education research which unfortunately is in a country that devalues the arts, higher education and scientific research so I'm more than a bit discouraged. #granitegarden #quietnight Music by Granite Garden

The people who loved OBAA need to release their unredacted p**n search history then compare it to the number of Black women in their contact list who haven't blocked them. I know who you are!

I still think I'm leaning towards warpick and/or sickle as her main magical weapon aka "wand" but I'm still figuring out her insect mantis features and ballerina fighting dress. (This makes sense in story.) #indiecomicsart

Since someone asked sincerely is it racist for Black people to wear white face paint, here's my answer as a Black history nerd and goth:

@Mx. Taylor: Blackface is racist bc of the historical context. Minstrel performances were comedic propaganda meant to dehumanize Black ppl and justify white supremacy. Some minstrels were even performed during lynchings. The Jim Crow laws were named after the first minstrel performer. There's no history of violence against white people by Black people wearing white face paint. Instead white face paint is actually a huge part of many African spiritual practices and Black cultural arts. So very much not the same.

That moment when you're in the final battle of your campaign and everyone else in your party is critically injured but you're the Bard with maxed out charisma and somehow rolled a Net 20 to charm the villain. Your friends are alive but you might just need to marry the dictator to keep it that way.

As always thank you @nathanwpyle.bsky.social for this always relevant comic:

Two eagles sit in comfy chairs. One eagle asks "Do you think the Owl is a predator?" The second Eagle responds, "Of course not. He's never bothered me." The first Eagle quickly agrees then sips their tea. The first Eagle adds, "No idea what Mr. Mouse was going on about."
