One very disingenuous thing I hate about people's reaction to media, especially superhero/comic book related media, is when someone already has a very close minded viewpoint going into something and says, "I tried to like it" or "I tried keeping an open mind".

The art in Midnight Spider-Man kind of reminds of the art in Absolute Green Lantern. It has that quasi-Manga style, that panel to panel, is a bit inconsistent, in my opinion. However, when it get to the actual horror stuff, it's pretty good.

You can keep the data pages in your indie books, that's fine. Just completely drop them for your Big 2 books. They are what dragged down a lot of the Krakoa books to me. They just completely messed with the pacing the pacing of the book.

You can only do so much with the "grizzled vet at the end of his rope" archetype because you are starting at the end, which leaves not a lot of runway for future stories. "I do think Kyle's Hal was realized better than Ben's Batman because the writing was more consistent.

I feel Kyle Chandler might go the same way as Ben Affleck. In the way that, they were both great castings for their respective characters, but maybe about 10 years too late. They were held back by the archetype of the character they were playing.

Sirianni is another one. Which is weird because he is an offensive guy, but he doesn’t call plays. He’s not like Dan Campbell or John Harbaugh who ar full bore CEO head coaches because they don’t come from a play calling background.

The problem with CEO head coaches, and Dan Campbell is gong through this now, is that you are only as good as your coordinators make you. You can have all the talent in the world, but if the coordinators are bad, then it won’t matter.

Cons: The pacing is all over the place because the episodes are clearly out of order Some creative changes, while they work for the show (ie John's parents), I wasn't huge on Not enough Sinestro The finale felt a bit rushed and didn't feel satisfying enough

So, pros and and cons of Lanterns, not that it's finished: Pros: Kyle Chandler is one of the best castings in a comic book project The dynamic between Hal and John is great Thematically, there is a lot to chew on and the scripts are mostly well written
