AndyCeleste @innocent-abroad.bsky.social · 04/10/2026I think Tucker was actually right. The British economy is larger based on market exchange rates, but Russia is apparently significantly larger on a PPP comparison. That means on a "widget to widget" comparison, it's bigger, but it has a devalued currency, probably due to sanctions. 000
AndyCeleste @innocent-abroad.bsky.social · 03/10/2026I confronted them and accused them of betraying the Resistance and being secretly in league with Ming. I have not received a response, but it seems they are worried about incurring the wrath of Flash and his friends, coz it's been fixed now. Phew! 110
AndyCeleste @innocent-abroad.bsky.social · 03/10/2026I got a reply from WAPO Customer Care, which simply repeated the information I supplied and opined I was probably right that they'd messed up the web page drafting. AndyCeleste @innocent-abroad.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Hey @danschkade.bsky.social as of today, your Flash Gordon strip no longer appears in the Washington Post online comics list. I'm OK coz I've got my Comics Kingdom sub, but I normally read it via the Post. I have sent an email to their Comics overlords asking if they have gone over to Ming. 210

We also don't know if his rhetoric & eventual policies will resonate with the electorate. Albo is much further down the path where rhetoric collides with electoral politics. 110
AndyCeleste @innocent-abroad.bsky.social · 17/07/2026Maybe. But Albo's been doing the job for a while now, Burnham hasn't started yet. Also Albo won 2 elections, while UK Labour is still behind in the polls to that guy fighting the bin. We'll see. 100

AndyCeleste @innocent-abroad.bsky.social · 13/07/2026Dunno why this is all framed around individual choice. AndyCeleste @innocent-abroad.bsky.social · 13/07/2026I'm not really arguing against you. Just explaining what's driving it. Industrial areas match cheap(ish) land zoned for industry with populations of workers. Data centers don't need workers and rural land is cheaper. They don't care about the effect on people. 010
AndyCeleste @innocent-abroad.bsky.social · 12/07/2026Land in cities is in short supply and expensive. Data centers don't need many people to run, so don't need to be near a large population of workers. 100
AndyCeleste @innocent-abroad.bsky.social · 12/07/2026Oxygen at that temperature is deadly. The purported analogy should be read as applying to the kind of oxygen you can breathe.
