Thore Hansen has passed away. Loved his illustrations. Big part of my childhood both with Ruffen (70s icon) , scifi books he did with Jon Bing and comics. I was so happy that he did illustrations for Itras By, the surreal TTRPG!! We'll miss you.

First game of #Lovecraftesque. Really liked the storytelling mechanics, alternating roles and sharing the story of a single character. Got truly bizarre and climaxed with a classic sheep god claiming its offerings. We ran a pre built setting but it's only prompts on cards so very much up to you.

Svart av kval, vit av lust - You're a fine little vampire game! Best mechanic - Beast command. It lets co-players add hard moral choices and challenges to your scenes that shows the vampire/human struggle. Playing a newly turned vampire it put me in some tough spots 2nd game session today.

Second session of this Norwegian classic - Itras By. Our session was a bit like Dantes Inferno, worked our way through an upside down tower, every level more surreal and more testing than the last. No hell though. Cards give scene prompts and resolves in improv fashion "Yes, but...". Great game

I talk a lot about how PA got me back into GMing and designing, but it also opened my eyes to a very useful playstyle. Instead of having the whole group know everything there is to know about your character, draw it out a little bit! It helps that your backstory is also your main resource.

3 days of TTRPG finished. Played a wonderful selection of games: - Tacklebox - Cowboys with Big Hearts - Public Access - For The Queen - The Job Did lots of improv warmup for the first time. Nice to be silly together and warm up the storyteller muscle. Also second field test of my narrator tool

Ran Public Access TTRPG for the first time. Wow!! System worked like a charm. Reskinned to a Norwegian setting to better fit my groups cultural references. Got them to investigate an old lumber house and had everyone flee with condition "Scared shitless". Got some great nostalgic moments.

The Job TTRPG - the crew gathered just before the getaway scene. Loved the structure: half the time we spent planning the heist. Second half we played out scenes emulating the phases of the job. Using #PbtA mechanics we did 12 amazing scenes! @gamesomnivorous.bsky.social Great game!!

Next weekends Public Access game (my first session) will be set in a remote town in the dark forests of Norway. The location has all great ingredients you’ll need to run mysteries. Found that contemporary games with locations and familiar cultural references hits so much harder.

Second go at #Mothership yesterday. Played Dead Planet and Tyrant Moon. Good fun! Also first real test of the narrator tool I've built in #Svelte. Back to the drawing board for better UX but it worked better than any other setup I've tried.
