Trump originally planned to use taxpayer dollars, earmarked for another actual purpose, into ads praising Trump. Trump is taking our tax dollars to stroke his own ego. After enough outcry, he's changing. But this should be criminal under his proposed legislation.

UnitedHealth sent a letter to customers saying that one doctor had died. But he's not dead yet! The doctor had to contact his patients, AND he had to reinstate himself as a provider with UHC. All this work, because of the UHC messup. Insurance companies control too much of our health care.

I remember being frustrated that Dems voted for nominees based on trust. A move like this, blocking unqualified nominees, is one of MANY levers that a Dem controlled Senate (and House) need to do. Be ready to do more than just go along with the system.

I listened to a briefing from @oath-vote.bsky.social and the big takeaway is that if you want long term change, send your donations to state legislative races. They will determine things like redistricting and local control of elections. Senate races are sexy, but state races will last us years.
