It might hurt my bottom line, but I’m probably going to stop posting art to Twitter entirely and I suggest you do too. Not only is the site actively putting a “Okay, now remix this” button below art (and elevating them above the OP with a QRT) and it’s false flagging original art as made by AI.

I saw this on tumblr earlier and I think it's a pretty good outlook to have, especially as people leave twitter for bluesky. You don't have to dunk on people. You do not have to spread bigotry by trying to mock it. You can report, block, and move on. Don't unintentionally give bigots a platform.

yeah there's a lot of "create weird art" and not a lot of "your favorite artist can't balance their shitty dayjob and emergency expenses with creating art" or "your favorite artist is burnt out because they've been doing more commissions than personal art for years"

TLDR: There is nothing enforceable for the immediate future. It will take months or years to implement this via rulemaking or bureaucratic changes which are then subject to legal challenge. While it's worrying, there's no immediate change yet for most trans people. Do not comply in advance.

Can’t stop thinking about how i wrote on xiaohongshu that i have been shipping and drawing daisuga since 2014 and a sweet Chinese girl commented “wow teacher you’ve been drawing daisuga since I was 6 years old!” …Good god man

I started posting my art on xiaohongshu and got 50 incredibly sweet, kind comments in like an hour…feels like being back on tumblr in 2014 again. I hadn’t realized how starved of positive feedback I’d become

Would anyone blame me for returning to my old coping method that i used during the 2016 election - drawing a metric fuckton of klance

Ok you know what I’m going to be happy. Repubs want us to be miserable, they want us crying, weeping, and begging, but no, fuck that. I’m taking my girlfriend out for sushi tonight. I will not give into despair. Choosing joy and happiness can also be resistance. Illegitimi non carborundum, friends

I was hoping I would be heading home from work to my girlfriend so we could celebrate a victory for harris, now I’m sitting here at my desk still wondering if we’ll even be able to get married at the rate things are going back home. I feel bleak.

By the age of 30, you should have: - a Bluesky account - a favorite spoon - an account on Twitter that you can't quite bring yourself to delete but you know in your heart that the site will most likely get seized by an international agency at some point & get closed completely - back pain
