Biker Zombies In This Crazy Horror Cult Classic! Psychomania (1973) Review

"Psychomania!" 1973 ... saw it as a 4 or 5-y.o. at my grandparents house on a black and white TV on a UHF channel. Zombie bike popping out of the grave scarred me but good. www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJrF...

Saw this post and remembered seeing it at the All-American Comics shop, new on the rack. So, I would have been 11 years old when I rode my bike 1.5 miles to the shop. Now, I don't llet my 11-y.o. ride her bike to the end of the block without a helmet and eyeball-supervision. Worst Gen. Xer ever.

80 years ago today, the Newark Eagles bested the KC Monarchs 4-3 in the Negro League World Series. Buck O’Neil, fresh out of service in WWII, didn’t win the series, but he went into the history books with a league leading .353 batting average. He later became the league’s greatest ambassador.

“Wonderwall Music by George Harrison” 1968 Apple 🍏 Records The first post-breakup single by a Beatle. Recorded in India, it’s mostly instrumental with traditional Indian instruments. Weird ragtime interlude. Clapton and Ringo cameos. Need a gummi for this. #NowSpinning #VinylSky #Vinyl #Oasis?OK

Tutu & the Pirates “Trail of the Great White Beaver” 2020 (no label) One of the earliest Chicago protopunk bands from the late 70s/early 80s decided to drop a whole new album of insanity in 2020. Hilarious and depraved. #NowSpinning #VinylSky #Vinyl

I don’t think mom cared for Earth, Wind, and Fire, but it was her lot to have me on Tuesday afternoon on 9/21. Tapestry was her favorite album, and all those little drawers how the tools she used to make amazing quilts embroidery.

Taj Mahal “Recycling the Blues & Other Related Stuff” Columbia TM’s 6 min 45 sec solo acoustic resonator (?) version of “Sweet Home Chicago” belonged in Coogler’s “Sinners.” No better modern version. And now, I have to tear up my Blues Brothers fan card. #NowSpinning #VinylSky #Vinyl #Chicago

T-Bone Walker “Dirty Mistreater” 1983 MCA Records “Stormy Monday” reminds me how my Irish Papa dubbed me “Stormy” as an infant - great giver of nicknames. He changed his own name at least four times on legal documents. Entirely possible he worked for the Irish mob. #NowSpinning #VinylSky #Vinyl

I'm not an Olivier awards guy, but "Cabaret" by Amy Lennox from 2022 hit my algorithm, and it may be one of the greatest performances I've ever seen. It's enthralling. www.youtube.com/watch?v=6DVx...

Matthew Sweet “Girlfriend” 1991 Volcano/Zoo Everything I loved about this album was about the guitars and vulnerable lyrics. SMDH … never looked at the guitar credits. Robert Quine: Voidoids/Lou Reed sideman. Richard Lloyd: Television. 🎸 #NowSpinning #VinylSky #Vinyl

Dennis Quaid was a door-to-door encyclopedia salesman (tell me you're old and out of touch without telling me), an amusement park clown, a signing waiter and a failed stand-up comedian before becoming a actor and a longtime member of the SAG-AFTRA labor union. Temu conservative.
