We are pleased to announce the establishment of ISGS-Catalonia, a hub of the International Society of Gesture studies (ISGS) based in Catalonia. Our inaugural event will feature alecture by Prof. Sotaro Kita on September 26, 2025 at 12:30 pm (GMT+2).

Poster announcing an online talk by Prof. Sotaro Kita of the University of Warwick taking place on Friday 26th September at 12:30pm (GMT+2). The title of the talk is Gesture, Language, and Thought. It is part of the online lecture series organised by ISGS Catalonia a hub of the International Society for Gesture Studies. Today, @jiali-li.bsky.social is presenting at the the International Workshop on Multimodal Language. The study, in collaboration with @ingridvilag.bsky.social, Sara Coego and Pilar Prieto, investigates the differences in gesture and speech in child-directed and adult-directed speech in narratives.
