Now reading "Spring Snow" (1968) by Yukio Mishima, translated by Michael Gallagher (1972). I hadn't realized how much a unified thing the Sea of Fertility was and it's been a while since I originally read "Spring Snow" so we'll do them all together and get back to "Runaway Horses" after the reread.

Ye-eah, you know the grief is bad when Zhang Bihan is like 'I don't even want to steal a boy baby, I want a girl because of all my dead daughters'.

Emperor's going to kill The Beatles for giving poetry that he didn't even write to Princess Baby.

YEAH DAMN WOMEN why can't they be nice and just do kidnapping, coercion, drugging, stabbing, forced consumption of secret snake eggs maybe, burying people alive, burning people alive, drugging people and throwing them in rivers to drown ... you know, wholesome stuff like the men in the series do!

Cats, witches and cat witches 🐈‍⬛🧡

drawing of a black cat with a witch hat stirring a cauldron of some bubbly green concoction with a wooden spoon she's holding with her teeth. she's surrounded by various labeled ingredients like giant toad's eye, vampire tooth, mandrake root, ectoplasm, dragon's or wyvern's blood and spider's eggs (to sprinkle on top). It's a spooky redrawing of my pumpkin soup illustration.

drawing of a dark grey cat with orange eyes. she's wearing a witch hat, a bag with a skull clasp, a dagger in a sheath and a glowing orange pendant. wisps of smoke or mist are curling around the pendant - some of them have ghost faces.

A tiny witch is standing on their tiptoes on a back of a big black cat to reach a glowing fruit on an alien looking plant. They're surrounded by the start and a moon and other weird looking plants.

Feeling my temper frey because of some local news, so I'll be publicly angry about the latest development in Netflix fucking up JoJo's by saying they're labelling it as having two seasons when what they mean is two episodes released so far apart it may as well be two seasons.

Spent some time tonight watching Lotus lie in front of Mont Blanc and very gently lick him with the tiniest blep of her tongue. Mont Blanc would then slowly and softly put a paw on her muzzle. Repeat several times until Lotus got a toy to chew on and Mont Blanc fell on his side.
