Swift action anyone? Email Angela.rayner.mp@parliament.uk simply saying ‘please mandate swift bricks’ with a subject line: MANDATE SWIFT BRICKS. Please encourage everyone to do this. Will take 30 seconds.

‘Cecile’ (an imaginary friend), layers one and two, reduction print. Dark layer first, then white which shows up as a lovely blue-grey. I may leave some like this, and add birds to others.. #printmaking #linoprinting #reductionprint

Missed last week’s #printpromptmonday as I don’t think I’ve ever successfully carved text! This week’s #growth is still a challenge but gone for this.. Ganesha in progress on the grounds that he’s a sized-up version of an older print😬 (pictured)

Breaking news! The government has just voted against the same swift brick amendment they voted for 2 years ago. We can only save our swifts if we all act. Email your MP. Ask them to sign edm.parliament.uk/early-day-mo... MEET your MP. Tell them how much this matters or we’ll lose them

Drawing for a new print. The multiple drawing and tracing processes of a multi-block print, complicated by the realisation that I’d forgotten to include the specified background..(it’s a commission..) Back, literally, to the drawing board 😬 #linoprinting #ganesha #commission

#printpromptmonday #process A block in the process of creating a five layer reduction Lino print (layers 2-4 shown). The block is gradually carved away to create each layer, and in this case I am working from dark to light for that extra challenge😉 #linoprinting #reductionprinting

Give this a share if you can - the prompt this week is your #favouritepiece Some great work has been shared already! If you search the tag #printpromptmonday you can have a look 🩷 #printmaking #art #artshare #illustration #woodcut #linocut #intaglio #screenprinting #etching

The graphic for this weeks print prompt Monday! It shows three relief print motifs - a rabbit with a long medieval trumpet, a lady doing yoga and a weird bird. From the trumpet the words “print prompt monday” are emanating. In the top left it states that this weeks prompt is “favourite piece”
The graphic has an off white background and the details are in a bright red and muted teal.
