Just a nice early Christmas present for myself. Got hooked with the 16Bit design but I was nearly tempted for the Purple one instead! Also celebrating my new job offer a few days ago too, which will be fantastic to start (It's kinda like a promotion in a way honestly with the higher pay) #retroid

Scott apologised that he "hadn't been able to fix this problem" and said he'd check in with RA to ensure nobody was saying anything untrue. Yet staff are still coming onto my channel. That raises serious questions about staff moderation. It won't silence me or stop me enjoying games.

InfinityGene @infinitygene.bsky.social · 01/07/2026

Yep that's me. You're probably wondering how I ended up in this situation... Can't put the new fridge-freezer into the kitchen yet, because I pulled up the old floor tiles to replace them with the new ones I had. So that's why I wasn't able to stream yesterday and today as they need to set.

010

InfinityGene @infinitygene.bsky.social · 22/06/2026

Thanks for coming to the stream today! I'm done with the Collect-a-thon event as the Sonic Adventure stuff put me up to 200 points finally! We'll continue Sonic Adventure tomorrow as we still have 4 other characters to do!

InfinityGene @infinitygene.bsky.social · 21/06/2026

Big apologies for no stream yesterday! Took part last minute in a Spyro 3 race with the #retroachievements community that I just couldn't resist myself from! Also on another note, finally finished the Wii Launch event on the site too and achieved the Grandmaster badge! Here's my list of games done!

000

InfinityGene @infinitygene.bsky.social · 17/06/2026

Thanks for stopping by the stream today! Apart from the sudden difficulty spike on the last part of the game, it's was genuinely tons of fun to play Sucker Punch's birthchild. Finished up the collecting off-stream and that's the whole set done. See you Thursday for Sonic Adventure!

Part 2 of Rocket: Robot on Wheels! We've experienced clowns, redecorated the roman architecture, and blew up some walls in the mines. Somehow, the theme park is still open. Time for Rocket to roll into even more physics-powered chaos! www.twitch.tv/infinitygene_ #retrogaming #retroachievements #N64

InfinityQuest #90 rolls into Rocket: Robot on Wheels! Turns out giving a tiny robot one wheel, a grappling hook, running around an amusement park was either a brilliant idea... or a catastrophic health and safety violation 🤖🎟️ www.twitch.tv/infinitygene_ #retrogaming #retroachievements #N64

🏳️‍🌈 Happy Pride Month! 🏳️‍🌈 Hope you're all well today! Just a small update, we'll be streaming tomorrow instead as I'm gonna make some adjustments to the layout designs since I'm unhappy with some things on the new one that I loved on the old one. InfinityQuest returns tomorrow!

000

InfinityGene @infinitygene.bsky.social · 29/05/2026

Well I just snagged myself a ticket for the Sonic Live in Concert event in good old Manc. But this was the first time I'd booked tickets like this and holy shit, that was manic 🤣

InfinityGene @infinitygene.bsky.social · 24/05/2026

Good early morning! Been working on the corner where I keep all of my older collections and I'm pretty pleased with how it all turned out. Now I need to buy more storage for future additions to the collection. Probably opt for something low and wide

000

InfinityGene @infinitygene.bsky.social · 18/05/2026

That was a fun experience of some games from the Atari 7800 catalogue tonight! And on top of that, we got past Rank #1000 on RetroAchievements, so I'm super please with that. We'll be back again on Tuesday where we will be checking out Atari 50! 🕹️ #atari #maytari #retrogaming #retroachievements

InfinityGene @infinitygene.bsky.social · 14/05/2026

Going to take another day off today. Another busy one for me, plus I'm also trying to cook up an awesome showcase for the remainder of MAYTARI as well. Definitely want to show off some lesser known systems and games, but there's just so many and we're already halfway into the event! 😭

020

InfinityGene @infinitygene.bsky.social · 13/05/2026

And that is the Atari 2600 portion of MAYTARI completed! Focusing on the games that had RetroAchievement sets was the best play, otherwise it would've been nearly 500+ games! I'll be having a think for the next stream on the next system to focus on. So stay tuned for that (Maybe tomorrow...) 👀

000

InfinityGene @infinitygene.bsky.social · 10/05/2026

Damn, no extra stream tonight sadly. Having to pack up the new controller that I had for only one month because the face buttons are defective (And defective for many other 8BitDo Pro 3 owners too). We'll be back tomorrow once I've sorted out the other controller setup I have 🫠

InfinityGene @infinitygene.bsky.social · 10/05/2026

My poor, poor ears.....Another smashing stream filled with Atari 2600 nonsense! We're gonna go again tomorrow and finish up the last sets on the RA site so stay tuned for that! I'll also do some of the achievement cleanup offline too. Thanks for coming! Also what on earth did I play earlier?! 😅

000

InfinityGene @infinitygene.bsky.social · 07/05/2026

And that's Day 3 finished off. Interesting selection of 2600 games today with a couple stinkers and a couple that don't have any reason to be a video game! But still, tons of fun and laughs and I shall see you all on Friday for Day 4! #atari #retroachievements #retrogaming

010

InfinityGene @infinitygene.bsky.social · 03/05/2026

Day 2 of MAYTARI complete! Very interesting collection of games today with some favourites for sure that I will be revisiting. Even got around to trying out E.T for the Atari 2600 which wasn't so bad when you know what is happening....but it's still bad #atari #retrogaming #retroachievements #ET

031

InfinityGene @infinitygene.bsky.social · 02/05/2026

Wow, wow, wow! What a fantastic start to MAYTARI today! That was so much fun and I appreciate all of the support from everyone who came today. I hope you all rest up your ears from all the bleeps and bloops, as we'll be continuing over the weekend! 💙 #atari #maytari #RetroAchievements #retrogaming

Time to celebrate an entire month exploring the Atari catalogue of games and systems! We'll be focusing on the Atari 2600 games for today with other systems/games on later streams! More info below! 🕹️ www.twitch.tv/infinitygene_ maytari.com/about #atari #maytari #retroachievements #retrogaming

How about some late night PS1 demo diving tonight? Let us continue on our journey into the wonderful (And sometimes super broken) demo world again with DemoDive #18! 💿 www.twitch.tv/infinitygene_ #retrogaming #demos #ps1

030

InfinityGene @infinitygene.bsky.social · 22/04/2026

Well that was certainly an experience that will probably linger in my head! Gex: EtD wasn't too bad, but just a bit clunky. Gonna clean up the remaining achievements offline but I appreciate you all joining in with the experience today too! Especially when the game decided to crash on the last boss

000

InfinityGene @infinitygene.bsky.social · 13/04/2026

Apologies for the lack of streams last week, but it was again productive as I've been testing my new graphics tablet and grinding a bunch of smaller RetroAchievements sets. Here's a little schedule for the coming week which is nice and cozy for sure! Enjoy 💙

011

InfinityGene @infinitygene.bsky.social · 05/04/2026

Happy Easter everyone! Hope you all enjoy your holidays egg hunting or uhhh....what do we even do again for Easter? I can't remember anymore 😂 Got a 3-month update to 2026 for you all as well, because I want it to look fancy and Bluesky word limits of course💙

We are back after a week of spring cleaning! Photos of the living room will come once I finish sorting out my shelves. But tonight, we are diving back into the wonderful world of PS1 demo discs. It's time for DemoDive #17! 💿 www.twitch.tv/infinitygene_

000

InfinityGene @infinitygene.bsky.social · 21/03/2026

Last night's stream was definitely more wacky than I thought it'd be. The Wii port certainly has more to it, but it's still super rough to play. We did stop halfway through but I'll do the rest of it offline I think (But will upload it to YouTube as Part 2). DemoDive scheduled for this evening 💿

000

InfinityGene @infinitygene.bsky.social · 19/03/2026

Evening folks! Streams are planned for this week, but will be happening for the next few days. We're all set for the Wii RetroAchievements rollout which is pretty exciting stuff, and we're also taking part in the Mario Madness raid train on Sunday hosted by the wonderful @8bitjosh.com! See you then💙

0132

InfinityGene @infinitygene.bsky.social · 10/03/2026

Good early morning, folks! Thank you so much for being patient with me and my streams. And I'm happy to say I'm ready to come back later on today with a classic GameCube game to celebrate MAR10 day! Then we'll be listening to hours of lore from Raziel in Soul Reaver on Friday. Enjoy! 💙

020

InfinityGene @infinitygene.bsky.social · 02/03/2026

Today's stream was weird, because I actually didn't enjoy the game this time around. But not because the game is bad as Driver is fantastic, but it was just too repetitive for me personally. The side games were fun but again, it's super grindy and I don't think we'll continue this set again 💙

000

InfinityGene @infinitygene.bsky.social · 27/02/2026

And in case anyone didn't see the previous post when I went live with this game, it's called Overboard! / Shipwreckers! for the PS1. But please, don't be this asshole on my posts, or you'll be blocked. It's not hard to ask kindly.

040

InfinityGene @infinitygene.bsky.social · 26/02/2026

Holy shit, this game was much worse than I remember it! We barely made it to the end (Even though we had to skip a few levels because they were impossibly too long to go through again, with how painful the game is). This is one of those games that didn't age well....highly recommend you play it 🫠

Apologies for the intermittent break of streams, the neighbour upstairs is still working on stuff, and I'm gonna ask when to expect them to finish on things. In the meantime, I've updated the OBS layouts and added in a couple new ones. Even swapped out the older cheevo tracker with a fancy one! 💙

110

InfinityGene @infinitygene.bsky.social · 23/02/2026

Can confirm NoobKillerRoof has also been targeted heavily from this on a regular basis. Even now I did notice hypno's viewcount go from 1.2k to 500ish, and then Noob went from 60ish to 500+ viewers. They did start spamming in his chat now

020

InfinityGene @infinitygene.bsky.social · 13/02/2026

Well, that was a fantastic stream today! Had tons of fun going through Seek & Destory with the added achievements, which do give it that extra content to it for sure. Wasn't expecting to be the 1st mastery, but I did have a lot of love for this game growing up, and already was excited for this set 💙

InfinityGene @infinitygene.bsky.social · 12/02/2026

Been helping out with scheduling a collab event within the Twitch Creator Club, called "Retro Rekindled" which is focused on streaming less known classics of the past! It'll be starting on the 14th Feb Big thanks to @villainyvs.bsky.social for designing some wonderful posters for the event too!

InfinityGene @infinitygene.bsky.social · 06/02/2026

Finished up 40 Winks with today's stream! Overall, it's perfectly fine this game, and it really does add on some ridiculous difficulty with the combat on Hard mode, so if you ever do play it yourself, probably opt for Medium for a smoother experience.

010

InfinityGene @infinitygene.bsky.social · 06/02/2026

InfinityQuest #77… 40 Winks… part 2… still dreaming… didn’t wake up yet… …mmm… zzz… 🛏️ www.twitch.tv/infinitygene_

InfinityGene @infinitygene.bsky.social · 06/02/2026

Hey all. Sorry again I didn't go live this week. Just alot still on my mind and it's taking a bit longer to process the events of this week. I did however go to the freeplay arcade down the road yesterday. Just chilled out there since I get in for free anyway, and it helps me disconnect from things

010

InfinityGene @infinitygene.bsky.social · 02/02/2026

Heya, schedule is out now. I won't be streaming tonight or tomorrow as I'll be attending a funeral so I need to be ready for that. But I will be back on Wednesday to finish 40 Winks, followed by Egg (yes, Egg) on Thursday, Super Monkey Ball on Friday, and a Postman Pat games bonanza on Saturday! 💙

000

InfinityGene @infinitygene.bsky.social · 31/01/2026

Today's stream was very good! Got through half of the game on Hard mode, and it is significantly difficulty since enemies take more of a beating on it. Definitely a different time back then in 1999 since this popped up quite alot in the game when playing as Tumble. See you tomorrow for Part 2! 💤

000

InfinityGene @infinitygene.bsky.social · 30/01/2026

InfinityGene @infinitygene.bsky.social · 28/01/2026

Today was a ton of fun going through a good old Mega Drive classic! Honestly was alot easier than I remember it since growing up, this game felt brutal as hell. But yeah, really awesome playthrough and I'll certainly clean up the remaining achievements overtime, similar to Ratchet Deadlocked cheevos

140

InfinityGene @infinitygene.bsky.social · 26/01/2026

Heya! Here's the stream schedule for this week. There won't be a stream tonight as I actually need to prepare for a doctor's appointment tomorrow. We'll get to a point where we can feel comfortable with the amount of streams we do each week. But it'll take some time, so thanks for your patience 💙

020

InfinityGene @infinitygene.bsky.social · 22/01/2026

Well I must have been psychic since I just had a short power cut a moment ago in my area. Glad I wasn't streaming then it seems! It's that damn Stu Pickles melting our power grid with his anti gravity playpen 🔌

InfinityGene @infinitygene.bsky.social · 22/01/2026

I got sidetracked today and forgot I was meant to stream today! (The truth is, I actually enjoyed working on some behind the scenes stuff for my streams, that I wanted to keep going) 😂 Redesigned the thumbnails today for when the VODs go onto YouTube. More videos will be uploaded shortly too!
