the games are all in the Legend of Heroes series, so they often share characters. Estelle and Joshua don't pop up in any of the Calvard arc (Daybreak 1, Daybreak 2, Horizon). Though I haven't finished Horizon yet, so maybe they show up?

Lupin III Castle of Cagliostro was my first anime VHS that wasn't a bootleg a guy from my Wushu class taped off of the SciFi channel. Not sure what my first DVD would have been.

Hmm, that's a tough one. All those 80's movies were set in places that had winter, IIRC. I guess you could go with the conservative bun, and then only let it down when you're either interested in the person or doing a makeover montage 🤣 But seriously, listen to whoever said 'pepper spray'

If the film comedies of the 80's and 90's can be believed, you just need: - Glasses - A fuzzy sweater - A long skirt - Braces - Chunky sandals - A turtleneck

IMO, the glut of distributions is the healthiest thing about Linux. When a company does something the customer base doesn't like, they aren't locked in - there's probably another distro based on the same/similar upstream that they can hop to as needed.

Dude, I just cracked into the PS5 version (it arrived on Wednesday) and the field battle system is just so much smoother/better in Sky than anything else I've played in the series, even Horizon.

By moving to the “center,” Democrats have failed to fight the forces that led us to Donald Trump: widening inequality, economic insecurity, and the unchecked political power of corporations and the rich. Political centrism is nonsense. There is no middle ground between democracy and oligarchy.

New — I wrote about this weird thing where people within the Republican party keep being exposed as Nazis and the party then tries to claim each one is an aberration. The facts, as I lay out here, indicate otherwise:

Republicans don’t have a Nazi problem—they are the Nazi problem

A spate of recent revelations have shown the ideologies and their adherents are one and the same.

Well, this is a good sign. Get fucked, Ed Sheeran.

An instagram post from Aaron Rowe that reads:

I have made the decision to withdraw as a support act for Ed Sheeran's 'The Loop' North American Tour.
I don't take the decision lightly. Ed has been a friend to me and has changed my life, I could never thank him enough for this.
But as Irish people we know all too well about genocide, forced famine and violent occupation.
I cannot stand by and allow billionaires to use their position of power to silence the rightful voices of those who speak up against Israeli genocide and who highlight the savage murder of children.
I would lose all respect for myself to carry on as normal.
I need to be true to myself and my ancestors who resisted colonisation, and fought
for a freedom that I enjoy today in Ireland.

So, the funny thing is, I never really engaged with Ed Sheeran's music in the first place, so him being pro-genocide is kinda just....whatever, I guess? I already wasn't giving him any money. I already didn't care about him as a person or an artist.

Given how well-received the Sky remakes were, I'd be shocked if they didn't remake Zero/Azure (presumably after they finish the Sky 3 remake). I did find the old 2D style charming, and they're harder than the 3D games.

010

Jonathan @infinitelives.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

I think the Sky remake is overall my favorite since the systems and the writing keep the game moving, and it never feels padded. Daybreak II definitely had points that felt padded, but it was bearable because the game loop is fun.

Van has the benefit of multiple viable love interests (Elaine, Judith, and Risette are all around his age), while Lloyd is kind of pigeonholed into a single romance option. There are things I liked about the Crossbell Arc (I think the writing was fresher)

110

Jonathan @infinitelives.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

Estelle is just the best protagonist in the series. Lloyd in particular seems kind of generic in comparison.
