Keith Porter Jr. was a 43-year-old father of two who was deeply loved by both coworkers and customers at Home Depot. He was actively working on a documentary highlighting the experiences of people of color in San Bernardino and how they coped during the pandemic. In addition, he was dedicated to supporting battered women through fundraising and advocacy efforts.

He never got to pop the champagne on New Year's Eve when he was killed by an off-duty ICE officer.

He should still be here, and he deserves to be remembered.

52-year-old Roberto Montoya, a father of 4 and grandfather from Guatemala, was struck and killed on the freeway as he tried to escape federal ICE agents during a raid at a Home Depot in Monrovia, California.

"He was very calm," fellow day laborers at the local Home Depot parking lot told Peninsula 360. "He was always willing to help."

"He didn't speak much. He came here to work."
