I think just the way i draw doesn't sit well with me anymore. It takes too long and I just don't enjoy it and by the time I'm done lining something (sometimes not even done) I'm so unhappy with it I just give up. Like I can't get the same vibe as the sketch but cleaning it up isn't helping either??

there is a huge disconnect between what I see in my head vs what comes out when I try to translate it to paper or tablet and it's been endlessly infuriating

I'm sorry I haven't been on here - I haven't been doing much art at all and have been having a difficult time with it. I want to rehaul my style and how I draw but...I don't know how. I am just tired of crashing out every time I try to draw.

image is of a black canine silhouette. it is standing with its hackles raised, red claws out, and baring its teeth. its head is turned to the side but its eye is staring directly at the viewer. a vibrant rainbow explodes up from around its paws and into the air around it, crackling with white electricity. #art

I told them if they don't take care of this I will escalate to the Dept. Of Education on account of fraud and/or abuse because they just keep telling me to retake this class (again, which is not important to my major AT ALL, not even as an elective) and just seems like they are trying to get money

When you have to summon your inner Karen because your community college refuses to drop a grade for a class from 10 years ago that does not matter to my current major.

My community college is refusing to drop a grade for a class that I took almost a decade ago because it wasn't required of my precious majors (I tried different things to find my footing) and I think thats the most ridiculous thing ever.

oh yeah re: weird cat gremlin The other 'if you've been watching for a while' design note people prob noticed is that this look started with me drawing Phoebe/Lydia as a Guild Wars 2 asura. That was more creative energy I eventually took out of the fandom playpen and dropped into mine instead :V

An asura (Lydia) perched on the back of a scarred long-suffering charr (Hester). The asura is cheering.

Quite busy at the moment, however, somehow i am still finding a little time for my artsona (who looks more and more fae as time goes on... interesting 🧿) #art #OCs

Art of my artsona, Xenon (they/them), looking very fairy-like. Xenon's got blue skin and braided blue hair, they are dressed in a blue garment with star-like shapes and long open sleeves. Underneath they wear a tight dark costume which wraps around their neck, ears and arms. Xenon also has a couple of translucent moth wings. Their eyes are monichrome light blue with long lashes. They strike a dramatic pose in a space-like dimension.

Two sketches in a mirror setting.
First is Minuit, a man facing the viewer, looking straight at him, scar on half of his face, hidden by his hair, and a vicious beast is showing behind him. Blood is staining the wall behind.
Second is Lyuu, facing the viewer, the look is down, holding her scimitar. Flower's petals are flying around her.

a good addition to this from a follower of mine from tumblr the "immortal regiment" thing is truly part of ruzzia's war cult, don't let this shit slide pls

The "immortal regiment" has been coopted by Putin and turned from a celebration of veterans and Soviet victory (dubious as it is outside Russia, particularly in Eastern Europe) into a jingoistic war cult. Even its original creator denounced it. Even without that, 9th May celebrations are intensely anti-American and anti-Western with people frothing at the mouths in their cars with cardboard tank turrets and missiles on top with slogans like "to Washington" and "coming for the German women". The whole world said "never again". They scream "we can do it again". And they're doing it.

Those people are NOT your friends. You are useful idiots to them. They would invade, rape and kill you if they could.

addressing old wounds #oc

Sketch of two figures in an embrace. A taller, more muscular masculine figure is leaning over a more slender one, with one hand holding his waist and the other cradling the back of his neck. The smaller figure bends back to open his throat to them, a hand just barely holding the side of their face. The taller figure is kissing a large, jagged scar on the smaller figure’s throat. The taller figure has long hair tied in a braid; the smaller figure has short hair and freckles.
