We have Japanese knotweed and the Japanese beetles are attacking it. Both are invasive species. It’s kinda fascinating to watch. They also make pretty lacy designs. But I don’t have any plants I care about salvaging so I just watch their work.

I’m with you. I only dislike really cold rain. I love hiking with the dogs in the rain. Hardly anyone is on the trails, and the sounds and smells are amazing. And… water dries? 😆

I’m so glad this rain came today instead of yesterday. I shot my last summer wedding for this year and it was a perfect day. Lying in bed with one dog snoring and the other on his back getting belly rubs, listening to the rain is a pretty magical place for a recovery day.

I had a photo shoot at the Tangled Garden just outside of Wolfville last weekend. I picked up this rhubarb mint cordial and have been enjoying it with lemon sparkling water. I could drink a LOT of this stuff. So good!

Reading the Globe and Mail’s article “Canada’s 100 best cities for renters” and there’s not one in Nova Scotia. It’s honestly so depressing trying to get by in this province. Halifax is #118 which is listed as the best NS option.

No - I had the surgery so the shop is officially closed lol. I’m waiting on a follow-up to my mammogram, which I usually have. The waiting is hard but sometimes hearing back too quickly is bad news.

I had a tooth extracted today. I’ll never understand how random things like teeth, eyes and feet aren’t considered part of the body under our healthcare system. But today I’m thankful for good benefits. 4-5 months before I can get an implant. Lots of soup on the menu!
