Alastor and Vox are sitting at a diner/bar, Alastor finished his meal, Vox hasn’t ordered anything.
A: I apologize for not waiting until your order, dear. I was simply famished!
V: Oh don’t sweat it I don’t really eat here

A: Oh? is it allergies?
V: nah I just don't have a mouth?

A: Whatever do you mean it's right here, ha!
V: Well, yeah, but it's just a projected image. I can't feel that

Alastor slides his fingers around Vox’s screen
A: ohh? so you don't feel my fingers at all?
V: N-no?

Alastor gets closer to Vox space
A: How curious! Open your mouth
V: huh? but-
A: hurry up now! good boy!

A: Your screen is so warm. Aw, poo I really can't put my fingers inside your mouth

Vox whines
A: What a lovely sound! You're panting, yet I don't feel your breath! bizarre! Is that you or your machinery?

Alastor mocks Vox
A: What a pitiful existence you are! How can you enjoy afterlife without the pleasure of tasting delicious flesh? You're suffering is delightful! I must admit I'm almost jealous I could save so much time if I didn't need to eat! Oh you make me laugh Vincent!

V: “Pitiful”,yeah that's me. can't smoke, can't drink, can't kiss. God I miss kissing the most.

Alastor coos
A: Aw, poor baby so pathetic.You shouldn't have told me that darling. Now I have leverage~

V: Whuddyamean?

Vox starts overheating and glitching
V: Wuh-would you? WHRRRright now? please! Uh- to test it out??

When their lips meet there's static and radio waves interfering. Alastor laughs maniacally as his mouth gets shocked and numbed. Alastor slobbers all over Vox's screen.
V: FFUCK!! ALASTOR!?? T-that was the hotteZZZt thing in my luh-life! d-do it again??

Vox is determined to get an upgrade
V: I'll figure out a way to give myself a functioning mouth I WILL KISS YOU BACK!
Alastor doubles over laughing
A: That's your ONLY priority? You're hilarious! think about what you'll finally eat IDIOT HA!
V: THE ONLY THING I WANT TO EAT IS YOU!!
V: UH I meant - not like- I didn't -

They are both thinking of different definitions for ‘eating’

A: Oh! My, how forward! Only if I eat you first ~

Alastor is walking through a district broadcasting throughout the city calling out for Vox to hang out. His ears tune into a frequency they share and receives an SOS signal from Vox in morse code
••• — — — ••• Alastor sends out his shadow to search for him

A: Voooox~ come on out! Let’s grab a bite!
A: ah, there you — ! … Vincent..?
A: Find him.

Fuck doing backgrounds maaann 😭

Alastor tracks his shadow to an alley covered in blood, he jokingly assumes Vox is playing hide and seek. His shadow leads him closer to a dumpster, ignoring the bodies of other sinners

A: aha! So hide and seek today? I must admit, I wouldn’t have expected this spot! It doesn’t suit you!
A: Blood… still wet, was there a fight?
A: Voooox~ What, licking your wounds? Come now, Vox! You’re it!

Alastor discovers Vox’s body inside the dumpster. His calm demeanor unravels at the sight, fueled by visceral rage. Vox warbles and glitches a response.

V: hh€e-eë¥¥ A-Al#, yøu#uu [][][] ffføünd me-ę€e []

Something inside Alastor snaps, and he shifts into full demon mode, cradling Vox

A: ŴHØ ÐIÐ THİŚ TØ YØÜ

Vox attempts to reassure Alastor by wrapping his tail plug around his finger and asks to be taken home

V: tøøk carr[]rre øf it it it it *t@kë mëmemėmemę h[]mmme

Vox wakes up from being regenerated violently. My headcanon is that when Sinners regenerate, they experience the same pain as how they died in life, so Vox gets electrocuted every time. If Alastor were to die and respawn, he’d wake up to a mindsplitting headache

V: GOD!! FUCK!! KOFF KOFF UGH that fu-hic-ing SUCKED I hate being electrocuted again

'a noisy picture box that followed me around unafraid of me that's a first!'

disposition of a dog (gross)
- loyal eager cute?
- manual buttons for picture adjustment
- Volume always at 100% how annoying
- always bursting with static
- attuned to my frequency
- he won't let me peak around the back of his head rude!
- he can resize and move his face anywhere but it's only contained inside his screen, any effort to come out just splits his face
- his face can glitch or be reduced to symbols which causes a headache!
- his screen is surprisingly soft and warm! sort of like a gel-based interface that is heat sensitive. What a strange evolution of technology!
- leaving fingerprints is like leaving hickeys! how scandalous!
- What is he so happy about being claimed? So shameless!

How does Vox eat?

as of right now his mouth is just a projected image So how does he sustain himself?

Theory 1:
- only eats electricity
- can he eat his own?
- does this count a self-cannibalism?

Theory 2:
- human skull inside
- normal body functions
- BORING!
New discovery! Gills!
- Shark anatomy?
- is the stomach lower?
- bigger lungs?
- ... cloaca or claspers?

I must ask to dissect him next time!

Theory 3:
- he doesn't

"... Surely not. Vox is still a human sinner. Even in death, we have bodily needs"
"...You're not starving to death, are you? I'll be very angry if you are"

He says he'll figure out a way to force a tongue out What a clever little picture box
