🖤 Joachim Busch died after a short, serious illness. He was 67. Joachim was a self-advocate, and an activist for the rights of people with disabilities. Besides that, Joachim was first and foremost a very kind person. Thank you Joachim. We will miss you 💔 www.inclusion.eu/rebembering-...

Families carry a lot. And often they carry alone. Today, on International Day of Families, we want to remind everyone to look out for siblings or parents of someone with an intellectual disability and ask them how they're doing. Community matters. Especially to families that need support.
We do everything ourselves: therapies, coordination, appointments; because we love our son. We want him to have the best life possible. But love should not be the only thing holding the system together. Families should not have to carry everything alone. - parent, Belgium
