The system had to go, but the *people* trapped in it were victims and didn't deserve death for being trapped. They deserved a chance to fix things and move forward, the same people but without heaven & hell and without anyone having apocalyptic levels of power.

And then they died. And Asa & Anthony had none of their memories, none of their trauma to heal from. There was no healing, only throwing it all out and starting over.

I kept expecting one of them to break down and show strong emotions and then have a *real* talk. For Crowley to stop picking and say something nice, or for Aziraphale to show some understanding of his own fuckups. And it never came. Even when they held hands they left room for Jesus and then some.

There are lots of reasons, but here's another I haven't seen mentioned: the body language. It's 90 minutes of Crowley and Aziraphale standing far apart, looking uncomfortable as hell, never really reconciling or talking about their feelings. Toxic relationship dynamics right to the end.

And yet nobody asked the humans if they couldn't be happy there. God literally offered to bring everyone back... But they didn't even, like, bring back Adam and Jesus to get a second opinion, or anything. Just decided to make some new humans and hope their world was better and trust God to do it.

The eldritch horrors learning how to be human, the biblical lore but FUNNY and the oh so juicy religious trauma! Mr. Brown with his disturbingly toned glutes alone is worth keeping it around. (Oh, that's not canon? That's just me being a weirdo? Huh.)
Plus Aziraphale is PEAK. He's Aura. He's SKIBIDIokay I don't know cool kid lingo.

Personally I was much happier with a single hour-long bus/skytrain ride than a shorter trip with transfers. When you have a book and a way of not missing your stop, you can settle in and relax most of the time.

Hell, even the marquee tag was less obnoxious than this brave new world. There are some things I'd miss, but it's beginning to look like it'd be worth it.

My favourites: Chili, pulled pork, many kinds of soup... I was doing pulled chicken too for a while, but these days I put two breasts in a bag with oil and spices, freeze raw, and then I have sorta-marinaded chicken that's easy to defrost whenever I buy potatoes and veg (or taco veg or...)

If you make a big batch of something and freeze it in ziplock bags, flat, then you get sheets that defrost overnight in the fridge, or in a basin of water in maybe 10-20m. Then you pour it into a bowl and microwave the rest of the way.
