While I agree with the sentiment that Trek was at its best when it had more than 8-10 episodes to tell stories, I ALSO think Trek is ripe for the kind of 3-4 episode story arcs that made late Clone Wars so good. Trek is good with long seasons but we could use more “to be continueds” too

RE: IOC ban on trans women: It’s increasingly clear that society needs to FAFO a while with chromosome tests before people are willing to admit that “woman” is a complicated category. And the fact that they won’t learn that the category “man” is just as fraught reveals the underlying misogyny.

The cherry on top of this victory is that citizen initiatives used to be easier to get on the ballot. The UT legislature made it more difficult after we passed medical marijuana and prop 4.

It took seeing adult bullies to understand that my childhood bullies didn’t even really want to hurt me, they just wanted to feel powerful and how I felt about it wasn’t even in the equation. I can’t imagine someone not outgrowing that, but apparently it happens quite a lot!
