May took the longest to pin down a design for her. She has the most completely scrapped character designs out of anyone. The only constant through them all was her flippy side hair. #sketches #indieanimation

Three images of a vampire with short black hear and over-sized headphones, wearing all black with blue accents.

Barb’s design has changed the least since her early iterations. The biggest change was actually her hair color. It was originally a lighter orange color, which was nice, but this shade of red reads a little more vampirery than that orange did. #indieanimation

Two headshots and one full-body image of Barb, a vampire character with red hair. She’s wearing all black.

Rin is definitely one of the funnest characters to draw, and though she has been through arguably the most changes in the design process, her green motif was decided on very early on, there's just something about green hair that just screamed “RIN!” #indieanimation

Two images of Rin, a character with stylish green hair. She’s wearing a black dress and knee-high boots.

Sketch to final of Imperfect Pear Studio’s first logo design! At first there was a little more going on with the pears, but while in the coloring process it was decided to simplify them a bit.

Another Vamps & Amps character… Here’s the rough expression sheet for May, the newest member of Fabulastic! May hasn’t been playing bass long but decided to try out for a band to get out of the house more. When she shows up for the audition, she gets more than she bargained for. #indieanimation

Check out this rough expression sheet for Barbra from Vamps & Amps! Barb is the guitarist & singer of Fabulastic. She knows what she wants and goes after it. Sometimes that ambition can give her tunnel vision, causing other parts of her life to fall to the wayside. #indieanimation

Rough expression sheet for Barbra, featuring five black and white drawings of a long-haired vampire girl in various moods.

Fabulastic is your average girl band… if your average girl band was made up of vampires and was constantly down a bass player. #indieanimation youtube.com/shorts/d_lWx...

Take a look at this rough expression sheet for Rin from Vamps & Amps! Rin plays drums. She brings an infectious energy to the stage that is irreplaceable, which is probably why her best friend & bandmate, Barb, hasn’t kicked her out of the band by now for being chronically late. #indieanimation

Hello! Please show a warm welcome to Imperfect Pear Studio. Our first project, Vamps & Amps, is an adult animated comedy about a vampire girl band. The pilot is currently in production! Stay tuned for updates!

The poster for “Vamps & Amps.” The name of the show is stylized in red font. Underneath it are the words “Imperfect Pear Studio.” Three vampire characters are leaning against a brick wall. One is a redhead, one has dyed green hair, and one has black hair with emo-ish bangs.
