Don’t let HPV be the scary part of growing up. HPV vaccination helps protect against the types of HPV that can lead to certain cancers. So future-you has one less thing to fear. Ask about the HPV vaccine for preteens, teens, and eligible adults. #AskForVax #VoicesForVaccines #NIAM26

Dentists don't fix cars. Mechanics don't fix teeth. Influencers aren't vaccine experts. If you have questions about vaccines, ask your health care provider - a trusted, credible expert.

Immunize Colorado @immunizecolorado.bsky.social · 20/07/2026
✅ During outbreaks, children who are not vaccinated may be required to stay home for a period of time. While no child is forced to be vaccinated to attend school in Colorado, getting vaccinated is the best way to keep kids healthy and avoid gaps in learning from illness.

Immunize Colorado @immunizecolorado.bsky.social · 20/07/2026
✅ That said, having high vaccination rates in a school setting is the best way to prevent disease outbreaks. They also protect kids who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons (like undergoing chemotherapy) through herd immunity.

✅ Diseases spread quickly in school settings. That's why Colorado students are required to be vaccinated against certain diseases. However... ✅ Colorado allows parents to exempt their child from vaccines for medical or personal belief reasons if they so choose. No child is forced to get vaccines.

Study after study has shown vaccines do not cause autism. Researchers are exploring what does, and current theories suggest a genetic link. Instead of clinging to a debunked theory that vaccines cause autism, we should shift our focus to providing better support for the autistic community.

Immunize Colorado @immunizecolorado.bsky.social · 13/07/2026
Before the IDEA act of 1975, most autistic kids were hidden away. Only 1 in 5 kids with disabilities went to public schools. The others were taught separately, kept home, or institutionalized. People didn't see them because they were left out, not because they didn't exist.

1. Insurance companies make money when people pay for coverage but don't require expensive medical care. Vaccines prevent expensive care. If they harmed people, they would need expensive care, and insurance companies would lose money. Vaccines lower medical costs for everyone.

Overwhelming the Immune System - Immunize for Good
FACT: Vaccines do not overwhelm a baby’s immune system.
000
Immunize Colorado @immunizecolorado.bsky.social · 15/06/2026
✔️ Vaccines do not overwhelm a child's immune system. The vaccines kids get are a drop in the ocean compared to what their immune system responds to daily.

Immunize Colorado @immunizecolorado.bsky.social · 15/06/2026
✔️ Since the 1980s, only about 1-2 vaccines have been added to the schedule each decade. Remember, every vaccine is carefully studied and tested before it gets added.

Immunize Colorado @immunizecolorado.bsky.social · 15/06/2026
✔️ Excluding flu and COVID-19 vaccines, kids following the recommended vaccine schedule receive about 30 doses before they turn 18. These protect against 16 diseases like measles and polio.
