This is a fraught "citation needed," as if the last person who asked where his nickname came from got whacked
Wikipedia: Testa's nickname came from his involvement in a poultry business. [citation needed]

There must be a scientific term for the feeling that a nearby mannequin or statue is in your personal space even if you're consciously aware that it's not real. This one's making me nervous as I flip through bargain vinyl at Fly Vintage & Vinyl in Robbinsdale.

Reminds me of this anecdote from a guy in Ambrosia from a Yacht Rock oral history:
AMBROSIA, YOU'RE THE ONLY WOMAN' (FROM ONE EIGHTY, 1980)
BURLEIGH DRUMMOND When we were cutting our first two records, which were essentially our more exploratory/progressive records'-by day, we worked in the studio and we cut these adventurous songs, but at night, we had to make a living, and we played a gay women's bar. It was stone R&B-everything was R&B. Because that's what they wanted to dance to. So that's where that stuff started creeping in to our psyche. I mean, we were all fans of Al Green and everything like that, but then when you have to start playing it for four hours a night and getting people to dance to it, it starts becoming part of your vocabulary. So you start writing tunes that have those kinds of feels and grooves. That's where songs like Biggest Part Of Me, 'You're The Only Woman, and 'How Much I Feel came from-from so many nights playing in this lesbian bar, playing R&B all night. Whether to say that's directly responsible may be too much. But it had an influence.

This beauty has been in my family since my mom bought it in 1977 - I just drove it to Des Moines from Mpls to get it fixed. The amp and speakers are from then, too

About 15 years ago a large flock of turkeys visited our backyard in NE Mpls and I got photos of them "flying" from the ground to the roof of our detached 1-car garage and back. It was news to me then, too, that they could do that, but clearly their range is limited.

Part of the reason it sounds creepy is that there were two versions of the track that were recorded in different keys, and John wanted to use them both. From Mark Lewisohn's The Beatles: Recording Sessions:

Marsh, from this book, on "God Save The Queen" - "maybe Cyndi" is an all-time great parenthetical
From "The Heart of Rock & Soul" by Dave Marsh (1989): For America to have known the equivalent of "God Save the Queen," Prince or Bruce Springsteen or Michael Jackson or Cyndi Lauper (maybe Cyndi) would have had to stand up in the midst of the election and the centennial and the Olympics and declare at the top of their lungs and in the rudest fashion imaginable, that the entire self-congratulatory nationalist orgy was a fraud, that Ronald Reagan was an inhuman begetter of morons, that his regime fostered a fascist plague, and that the spectacles it fostered were a portent of the very end of the world.
