Will never get over how when The Beatles played Shea Stadium in 1965, they used the same built-in PA that was used to announce batters coming up to the plate.

One of the greatest double albums (+ 7" EP) ever could easily have been the best triple album ever.

Weary of the heartthrob label after his 1996 hit “Barely Breathing,” he pivoted to musical theater and won two Tonys for composing “Spring Awakening.”

I must be doing something right if I follow (actually list) both people who have quoted this so far. (For the record, I love both versions + D.L. Byron's demo, which lays bare what a brilliant Springsteen knockoff it is)

Loving these guys… @solace.music how is it possible that they're playing Cloudland and not someplace 2-5x bigger in October? (I've never been there so maybe I'm missing something)

Electric Fetus had a power outage just as I showed up - starting to get the generator up and running. Really eerie browsing records in silence with no music playing.

When I realized the three brothers in this band share the last name Met, my first thought was, does the NYT refer to them as "Mr. Met" on second reference? (No, they keep using their first names to distinguish them from each other)

There must be a scientific term for the feeling that a nearby mannequin or statue is in your personal space even if you're consciously aware that it's not real. This one's making me nervous as I flip through bargain vinyl at Fly Vintage & Vinyl in Robbinsdale.

This beauty has been in my family since my mom bought it in 1977 - I just drove it to Des Moines from Mpls to get it fixed. The amp and speakers are from then, too

Drove my vintage turntable to Des Moines (4 hrs away) to be repaired by a guy who only fixes my particular brand. Figured I'd drop off and come back ~3 hours later before heading back, but he let me watch him take it apart and work his magic on it. Told my wife when I got home "it was a magical day"

About 15 years ago a large flock of turkeys visited our backyard in NE Mpls and I got photos of them "flying" from the ground to the roof of our detached 1-car garage and back. It was news to me then, too, that they could do that, but clearly their range is limited.

The vocals remind me of Richard Thompson, so it wouldn't sound out of place on Unhalfbricking, either. (Also, like Fables, produced by Joe Boyd.)

Wouldn't say "blown away", but I heard the opening riff of this song on the radio in about 1984, and never heard it again or knew what it was until just a couple years ago. Drove me nuts bc you can't Shazam or Google "the 'Photograph' riff but weirdly inverted"…turns out this track is 4 years older.

Part of the reason it sounds creepy is that there were two versions of the track that were recorded in different keys, and John wanted to use them both. From Mark Lewisohn's The Beatles: Recording Sessions:
