I read about a Chinese robot wining a half marathon running race this morning. As a runner, that is an impressive feat, as a technologist - that is an anazing accomplishment, as an American - I am afraid we are wasting 4 years. I congratulate the developers. Competition raises the bar for all.

TIL about a memorial ceremony in Iceland in 2019 to mark the end of a glacier, changing the place name from Okjökull to Ok (jökull = glacier). Uncompromising wording on the bronze plaque: "This is to acknowledge that we know what is happening and what needs to be done. Only you know if we did it".

On Jan 2, 2021 DT said "I just need to find 11,780 votes" pressuring GA officials to "find" them. I am so disgusted. Today the pending charges were dropped. There were witnesses and recorded audio of the attempt to defraud voters. I am not naive, I know there is some corruption, this is F*cked up.
