Imageplotter @imageplotter.bsky.social · 11/08/2026And some shots of new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Andy Burnham, with supporters, friends & wife Marie-France, also from the PM changeover in Downing Street last month. Couldn't stay for the new cabinet ministers arriving later that eve, but I'll snap them at cabinet after the Parly recess. 0142
Imageplotter @imageplotter.bsky.social · 11/08/2026Looks like I didn't post any pics of the PM changeover in Downing Street last month on Bluesky. Mea culpa. Here are a few - first up outgoing Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, with current cabinet ministers, supporters and wife Victoria. (plus 100+ photographers, camera crews and journos, obvs 😉) 0150
Imageplotter @imageplotter.bsky.social · 11/08/2026Forgot to post these guys last week - the St James' Park #pelican chicks. They are so lovely. Quite confident & cheeky, too. They seem to have grown very fast, almost the same size as their parents now, but still in their protective grey/black down. Really enjoyed watching them. 2241
Imageplotter @imageplotter.bsky.social · 09/08/2026And some more shots from the spectacular looking #Montgolfiade in Warendorf today. These are from the daytime launch of the hot air balloons in beautiful sunshine. Full pic set at Alamy Live News 0200

Imageplotter @imageplotter.bsky.social · 27/07/2026It‘s a Soho tradition and has been going for many years, but is more of a local event and not heavily publicised, otherwise the busy streets there would clog up too much. 000
Imageplotter @imageplotter.bsky.social · 19/07/2026A few shots from the annual #Soho Waiters' Race. Always good fun to watch and photograph. 1221
Imageplotter @imageplotter.bsky.social · 13/07/2026Unlikely, they need wetlands or shallow water bodies (lots of those in Holland) that don't freeze over in winter & have nutrients in summer (so not StJ). There are also plenty in the Eastern Algarve ( shallow water in the Ria Formosa nature reserves), similar to the marshes and salt lakes in Spain. 030
Imageplotter @imageplotter.bsky.social · 13/07/2026Thank you. They seemed pretty well adjusted :-) 010
Imageplotter @imageplotter.bsky.social · 12/07/2026Having recently had rather unpleasant surgery on my intestines, I can only agree and can't stress enough just how important fibre, vegetables, and plant based foods are for the digestive system. 000
Imageplotter @imageplotter.bsky.social · 12/07/2026Some more shots of the wild pink flamingos at Zwillbrocker Venn, Germany. Most of the adults will fly off to milder Dutch near-coastal waters, which don't freeze over, for the winter. The chicks will stay behind for a while until they are ready to fly, conditions this year are great for them. 1192
Imageplotter @imageplotter.bsky.social · 12/07/2026Shots of the wild pink #flamingos at Zwillbrocker Venn, a wetlands nature reserve on the German-Dutch border. Adults are all ringed to track their annual migration to the Venn, where they bring up their chicks. There were 60+ adults in spring Saw the chicks as well. Large pic set @Alamy_Editorial 3172
Imageplotter @imageplotter.bsky.social · 12/07/2026Edward, since this dialogue is somehow happening under my reply to a Guardian article, I'd like to ask you politely not to become personally offensive. Otherwise blocking will be my only option to keep things civilised. 130
Imageplotter @imageplotter.bsky.social · 12/07/2026I don't think it's that clear cut. No, money is not more important than morality, and I don't think that was Starmer's motivation at all. But he is a realist and knows some actions can make matters worse. International diplomacy is bloody hard work and decisions taken aren't always easy. 100
Imageplotter @imageplotter.bsky.social · 12/07/2026Ps. The exhausted mum, who managed to get all her chicks through the hailstorm, long heat waves and drought, clearly needed some solitude for a while. But she stayed close by...just in case.😉 In the two nests I've regularly visited, all juveniles have survived. Well done, stork parents! 1160
Imageplotter @imageplotter.bsky.social · 12/07/2026The now almost fully grown juvenile storks, beaks changing from grey to red. They forage for food independently now, parents sometimes join them. Many parents start to leave for their southern winter quarters in August, with the juveniles following in mixed adult-juvenile flocks a while later. 1193
Imageplotter @imageplotter.bsky.social · 10/07/2026I'd have to disagree. Starmer dealt with Trump as well or badly as most other European leaders, probably better than most, actually. The Spanish approach, as courageous as it is, isn't really an option for the UK. That approach would only work if all European leaders took it in unison. 1120
Imageplotter @imageplotter.bsky.social · 28/05/2026Thank you! I am sure it won't be swift, and sadly full isn't an option either, but I will settle for getting back to some form of normality. Hope you are doing ok also, Patti! I am not on Bluesky all that often and need to come back to it more. 220
Imageplotter @imageplotter.bsky.social · 25/05/2026Managed to go out for a short while (all still very slow and painful after the surgery) with a camera to photograph two nearby white stork nests with mum and juveniles. They were thirsty, but looked well fed and healthy, waiting for dad to bring some juicy worms and insects. Pics at Alamy Live News. 6282

Imageplotter @imageplotter.bsky.social · 16/05/2026Thought it was time for a little pic of his Royal Cuteness, the Larrmaster @number10cat.bsky.social. Here, he is sunbathing on the red carpet, ahead of the Joe Biden visit in 2023 in Downing Street, looking very relaxed. Have a lovely weekend, everyone. 0434
Imageplotter @imageplotter.bsky.social · 01/05/2026Thanks. I'm afraid I am not yet back, major surgery next week, hopefully some time after that. 320
Imageplotter @imageplotter.bsky.social · 26/04/2026Sometimes, the background in Downing Street can emphasize the general atmosphere of a shot. Here's a slightly stressed looking one of Suella Braverman (then Home Secretary) and another quite calm and collected one of James Cleverly (then Foreign Secretary). Pics at Alamy. 1110
Imageplotter @imageplotter.bsky.social · 29/03/2026A Sunday throwback picture of Richard Tice, Reform UK, being interviewed in Westminster with Steve Bray @ holding up one of his placards. Brexit still wasn't worth it. It never will be. @stevebraysodem.bsky.social 1324
Imageplotter @imageplotter.bsky.social · 26/03/2026It does make the museum experience worse and it will become far less inclusive. Tour groups of school children from abroad will think twice, so will travelling families with children. Keep them free, please, or charge a small nominal fee (£5) 030
Imageplotter @imageplotter.bsky.social · 24/03/2026I don’t mind book reviews, nor books about the Royals, for those who like that, but the relentless H&M hating and scandalising fuelled by certain UK papers is just vile. It may be a review, but the paper selects to feature it in social media posts. 010
Imageplotter @imageplotter.bsky.social · 22/03/2026Is this really the sort of cheap, irrelevant and attention seeking headline the Times wants to push out during an international crisis with several wars going on? Seriously? Give it a rest, please. 190
Imageplotter @imageplotter.bsky.social · 20/03/2026Some positive pictures from Iftars I photographed in previous years. They were joyous & friendly, the majority of it was large communal meal sitting on the floor, I was invited to join. TrafSquare had small prayer areas for men & women, overall a brief element before the meal. Would love to go again 3266

Imageplotter @imageplotter.bsky.social · 13/03/2026Another little pic of the Larrmaster in a moment of feline cuteness and dedication to the job. Although he looks a bit like he was just caught singing in the shower in this one. 😁@number10cat.bsky.social 930425
