We pulled into our parking lot a year ago today and saw a tiny black kitten all by herself and knew we had to go say hello. She kept her distance for a while, coming closer as she felt more and more comfortable. I fell in love instantly.

None of my family is awake and responding so I’m telling you guys. Slid off the road tonight with my bf and I’m pretty shaken. No injuries, minimal damage, even was able to drive it home after being pulled out. So thankful.

Third year doing bingo resolutions! I’ll sit on these for the rest of the month and maybe make some tweaks but I think these are all (mostly lol 🦏) doable.

2026 bingo card including read 18 books, write once a week, go camping, Sunday and nightly cleaning, cuddle meatball, pay off small credit card, return to Columbus zoo, purge closet and storage, pet a rhino, gym at least once a week, effective rating, start therapy, free space, self-care rituals, go blonde, visit a new zoo, backsplash for kitchen, beach 6 times during summer, lower screen time, start sourdough, train for backpacking, drink more water - two Stanley’s a day, join silent book club, get a tattoo or pierce my nose, start a savings account.

So Meatball got fixed a couple of days ago, and this girl has been CRAZY ever since. Used to be a quiet, calm little lady and now she’s much more curious, chasing her brother (playfully), coming up to us for pets, getting into things, etc. is this normal?? 😅😂

August ➡️ November This spicy girl has finally come around (the night before her spay 😅) and let me pet her. She was SO affectionate for a solid 20 minutes, loving pets and scratches. I’m so so so happy we’re finally here 🥹

One of my favorite things about Meatball is that when she was outside she was always the first to the food and would shove her way there. Now that she’s inside she has become SO much daintier, like the little lady she is. Takes her time eating and no longer feels like she has to fight for her food 🥹
