Dear Nefertiti, you are a very cute little slightly crossbeaked easter egger but please do not be a rooster.

A young chicken looks into a camera straight on. The chicken has puffy cheeks and a very slightly crossed beak.

Trust me, Starfish. I am trying 😫

A divination card with a Starfish sits upside down inside a book open to a page that reads:

Protection Message: When cynicism says no, Starfish Spirit says yes a thousand times over. Are you willing to entertain new possibilities? Are you limiting your goals in order to be realistic, and cutting yourself off from the power of dreaming big? Let go of your rigid beliefs about what is possible for you, and let Starfish Spirit inspire you to open your heart and your eyes to what Spirit has available to you. Now is a time to stretch beyond the familiar and unfurl yourself, for you are meant for more than you are imagining for yourself. Spirit wants the best for you and will support you in achieving whatever intention you hold dear.

Getting a baby monitor for the chicken coop was the best idea, y'all.

Five chickens sleep on a roost bar. The left most one and the middle one are faced away from the camera.

Social battery is near zero and it's only Saturday (my Friday) Gonna just play Balatro until the melatonin kicks in because I'm too tired to decompress.

A bespectacled black ceratosaurus (with a white belly, mauve mouth and hands, yellow, white, and purple feathers running in a stripe down their back, pink and purple spines, pink, blue, and white brown crests and nose crest, and purple eyes) is laying on its stomach, slumped, with a very tired expression

Missing you today, Papa. I think you'd be proud of who I've become.

An androgynous person with medium brown skin and red, pink and yellow hair with graying sides in an undercut stands center holding a potted sundew plant while they stand behind a tank with a collection of water wheel plants. They wear a light grey, futuristic body suit, glasses, and a badge that has their name, Dr. Smulnde, as well as an insignia that shows a leaf and a crescent moon. An orange, circular lapel with three green fronds is on the neck of their outfit. Their eyes are closed in a peaceful acceptance as a pink, clay like ooze is taking over the room, beginning to cover the person and the plants. Behind them is the wall of pink ooze that is covering the book shelf and water cooler behind them. In the window, above the pink wave of clay, is a pink moon that watches as the world changes. Stowing away on the waterwheel plant and the sundew are two icerya purchasi insects - white insects with a hard shell
