… discussing our plans for the recording. We could also take ideas on the topic from the audience. Would that be something you’re interested in? Would it entice you to pay $1/month to be a member? What other things would you want to see in the stream? Let me know! Maintain your groovy selves!

Something else I’m considering: a members-only “warm-up” stream before I, or friends and I, record a video. They’d likely be Saturday afternoons on days we record, and we’d just be catching up as friends, checking equipment for the recording, checking composition of the shot, and…

Next game I’m playing: Parasite Eve! I’m looking forward to it. Haven’t played it in a very long time.

I’ll also be working on my Xenogears analysis series very soon (hence the Xenogears covers). Those are really time-consuming. I hope you all like them!

Look for an “It’s not for me” type of video that Rameen and I will make for the I Love This [Game] channel soon-ish. (He’s also giving up on his playthrough.)

Some thoughts on streaming in general: you might have seen that I’m giving up on Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. The game was just too tedious for me. And too difficult, even playing on Easy! The strategy gameplay wasn’t satisfying for me, and the story and characters weren’t compelling enough.

Upcoming composition stream on Sunday evening, from 7-9pm Eastern US time! I’ll be working on a cover of “Bonds of Sea and Fire” from Xenogears. Come hang out, give suggestions, ask questions, or just get me off topic! I don’t mind!

Ok I usually don’t do things like this, because I’d over-stress. Like, how could I possibly pick favorites (especially when my followers are pretty few)? I’ve decided to pick one song I love from each year, going backwards, starting with 2025

Ok, I really messed up chapter 14 last time, so I’m giving it another shot now. Come hang out, and give me tips if you want!

I’m going to be live on stream today working on a cover of a song from #xenogears - come hang out, give me suggestions, ask me questions, or get me off topic talking about other things! Oct 4, 6:30-8:30pm eastern US time. Links coming once the stream starts

A screenshot of a world map scene from Xenogears with the text “compose with me: Xenogears cover,” the start screen of the game in a small box, and a selfie of me with a goofy smile

Back for more Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones, live right now! I’m at least live on YouTube. Hopefully on Twitch as well, if the stream will work. Probably a short one tonight, just Chapter 12. But I plan to stream again on Thursday!

I might add “taste levels” to the list of “lacking”

Relatable. Sometimes I’ll listen to my old compositions and think, “you know what? You can do this!” But sometimes it backfires and I think “that was a fluke, you’re not actually that good, and you’ll never be that good again.” Trying to train my brain to focus on the positive

Or maybe I’m not on twitch tonight… that stream isn’t working for some reason. Hmmm.

I’ve been wrestling with my streaming setup each day after work this week, but I finally got it working late last night. Look forward to one or two Sacred Stones streams next week! But first: DND tonight, a lazy river float tomorrow, and recording a new video on Sunday

If you like puzzles rivaling the best Zelda games and a quirky, dark, and vaguely sad mood that feels akin to Link’s Awakening, (not to mention an incredible soundtrack) check out this game. Support more indies - especially fantastic ones, like #IsleOfReveries

I need to stop underestimating indies. I wasn’t expecting to like Isle of Reveries, and it took a bit to grow on me, but now I adore this game. Watch/listen to me and Christopher gushing about it for about 20 minutes here: youtu.be/zIFEtSD3F-Q?...

Isle of Reveries first impressions - excellent indie Zelda-like!
