A picture-perfect day in my happy place. The setting sun kissed the water with light as the shadowy mountains look on. The clear night sky promises stars, breathless with anticipation. Life happens in nature🍃. #sunsets #tranquility #nature #water

@bsky.app all I see anymore are photos of people's dogs and cats. Dumb. I definitely don't 'like' or 'view' those things so why muddle up my feed?

You have me fiercely wanting the x100vi 🥰. I started as a Nikon girl and owned the Fuji XPro2 and XH1. I loved those two cameras (for different reasons). Life happened and I sold them, kept my Nikon … regretted it ever since. Your work is wonderful.

Freighthouse Square. All the small businesses here will close as it faces demolition for future light rail expansion. Some long-standing businesses have already closed. #photography #tacoma_wa #shoplocal #ios #blackandwhite #ilopix

I leave my phone out of reach when reading. I do ask Qs "oh, I wonder where that is?", "what is that word?" and so on. I still think of the phone to fill in these blanks for me. So far I've let that go and don't reach for it. I keep a small notepad nearby and write it down to look up afterwards.

The Heritage Foundation has released a 250-year roadmap to “save America.” The document is a how-to guide for subjugating girls & young women: a detailed plan to push them out of college, funnel them into early marriage and motherhood, and then trap them there. jessica.substack.com/p/theyre-com...

I’ve never wished for PEACE on earth more than this day. May you find joyous moments with those you love and turn off the news for a few days.

I have "The Daybooks of Edward Weston" - "Mexico" which are his journals from his time there. Hung out with the best of them -- Diego, Frida, Tina and many more. He was in a period where he questioned his work being good enough. Fascinating read.

Worldwide boycott of Spotify. Musicians because of Ai theft, here in US because they refuse to take down ICE recruitment ads. Sigh.

Facinating, powerful works of shadow and light. Wonder if E.H. rebuttal that Lewis influenced his work had anything to do with his obscurity. Pull you up or put you down. I’d love to find one of his works.

As a reader (eg. Substack), I stay engaged with writers who paywall "some" of their writing, not all of it. I understand the need to monetize one's art and if the free writing entices me to where I think it has immense value, then I would consider paying what I can.

I still browse Instagram but stopped posting a year ago. Many hometown locals and small businesses on there that keep me in the know. Only other app is Bluesky which for some reason is all politics now? I pay for and use YouTube quite a bit. That’s it.
