Once on the 4th of July, I witnessed a lady get kicked out of a parking lot where she was trying to watch fireworks. She ranted at the shop owner like "THIS IS COMMUNISM!!" and I was a junior in college, so 1. I knew why she was wrong but 2. Was already too disillusioned to try explaining.

Our Elantra Blue actually seems to get better gas mileage in town than on the highway, since the EV motor kicks in more often at lower speeds. It can reliably get 50+ mpg, and even at highway speeds during the winter, it manages low 40s.

Sometimes my smart tv just glitches and won't turn on. TVs used to just be on or off. It's like they built a maze of transistors so huge that the electricity gets lost sometimes now.

Great opportunity to never bring those executions back. He has the power to commute all sentences. The legislature has the power to issue moratoria and to end capital punishment, as we have done in Illinois recently, as California did many decades ago. Or they could keep up this horror.
