I didn't have a lot of realistic hope that the Sox could win this series, but this has been embarrassing. This looks more like the team Tracy took over than the one he ran most of the season.

I don't like this. Yes, third time through but my confidence in Miller is pretty shaky at the moment. Would rather see Bennet or Crochet, TBH. Or Whitlock.

It hurt, but you have to leave it behind. The offense all year has been the 1975 Reds for a while then the 1906 White Sox for a while. The wrong team showed up last night.

It’s a double whammy: it’s become harder to make contact at the same time that putting balls in play (especially on the ground) has become less useful due to better positioning/defense.

You're not wrong, but also pitching has gotten insane. The strikeout rate has been rising fairly steadily for nearly 100 years. In 2018, about 13% of all 2 and 4 seam fastballs were >95mph. In 2026, 45% were. Pitchers really are throwing a lot harder than they used to.

Agreed, but we have to *also* make sure the money doesn’t get siphoned off by grifters (including ones in the system already). “Government that works for people” starts with ”Government that works.”
