Speaking of, one change I'm a bit sad about is missiles rarely curve back after an initial miss compared to AC7. It's very noticeable in MP. You often only need to dodge once, sadly. That and the netcode is worse so missiles "hit" despite visually missing (or just outright not existing) a lot.

I remember the first time I played AC04 in ~2013 and being blown away by how well the gameplay loop and controls held up. I was on a PS2 game binge at the time and nothing else even came close to being as smooth and natural to pick up. I fell in love right there and then.

I think a lot of people aren't really aware of how much better the model 1 is than the other two for hotlapping. It's so much more reactive and nimble. Especially on-throttle. You can get some disgusting exits from No Name.
