I used to work on a naval training base 10+ years ago. Met a whole spectrum of officers from across the forces. Got a bizarrely high security clearance and read things I'm sure I shouldn't have. And let me just say LOL, LMAO even. GG.

Just spent my Christmas money on all but 4 balls of yarn for my January cast on. A 4ply jumper, for next Christmas/a festive day in July! Something to make January a little less shit.

It's nothing major doll, just too much time in too little space for too long with clashing neurodivergent family! Mum is currently lifting the lids on my pans questioning the level of boiling. I do all the cooking, I went to hers to fill her freezer: leave my pans alone woman, sit and enjoy!

And they have a secondary app of recipes. I just found it's active again after going to look at it not existing and getting sad, to then be surprised it's there! It's the white background. 3 wheels, tell it what veg you have, it tells you recipes you can make. I've had some fab surprises from it.

I was lucky enough to be able to do weekly veg (I'd get the biggest box, because I LOVE veg), and meat monthly. Any issues (bug problems) sorted so fast. Only issue is some are very busy and they can deliver at about 4am, if your front porch/garden isn't secure. I set an alarm to bring it in!

Became a lovely curry. I once tried the meat as they gave me some free, and it actually really cut down my meat consumption because it was so so good, but real treat prices! These days I hunt for some of the veg I tried thanks to Riverford!

The cardi in progress, and buttons not yet arrived. This piece will be called the Icy January Cardi.

A top down, hand knit cardigan. The sleeve stitches are on hold and the body is around 10cm longer than the underarm.

The cardi is lay on a black glitter carpet that is showing various shades of dark grey to black.

The cardi is knit from 2 yarns held together. A cream yarn with turquoise and darker blue flecks, and a light, sky blue mohair. Together they form a cooler toned fabric, less cream, more blue. The blue flecks stand out against the cool cream/blue background.

Some buttons rest on a persons hand. They are a mix of silver, turquoise and purple glitter.
