You all know by now how much I love dead flowers... well, aren't these sunflowers spectacular? Brought to me from an appreciative patient (so sweet!) Now spent, I will bring them home and put them out for the birds to dine on 🌻

Five large, luscious sunflowers who have seen better days, sitting in front of Van Gogh's Starry Night Over The Rhone. In front of their glass vase is a black fabric Halloween cat, and just off to the side is a small placard that reads: If life gives you lemons, have a gin and tonic.

My heart is absolutely breaking on this beautiful autumn day; this magnificent tree (the tallest one) is being destroyed. I have loved and appreciated this tree for over 30 years, easily being the prettiest part of our little quiet court. I collect it's fallen leaves every year and give thanks 🍁

The imposing Callanish Stones stand talk with their shadows spanning out across the glass. It's a super clear sky, but looks cold. Above the central stone is a strange figure-of-8 shape of dots. This is the location of the Sun, at noon, on various different days across the year.

Happy Lughnasadh! 🌾 Mine is dark and rainy but I will still find time to get outside and touch the green things. Meanwhile, here is my tiny altar from years past, reminding me that Lughnasadh is all about the magick of creating - in my case, some Halloween art! #lammas #lughnasadh

Our bunny visitor has chosen a nursery, turns out she will be a Momma soon! We call her Keena; a Gaelic name meaning brave and wise. Brave to be up on the deck with people, and perhaps wise in thinking her babies will be safer from other predators. (I'm worried about babies making that jump down!)
