It's been 3.5 months since I was last here. It was a wonderful summer, but now it's back to school time. Happy Fall, everyone!

PSA-Do NOT buy GE appliances. 2018 purchased new, mid-range appliances f EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM HAVE stopped working. We better go get one today b4 the tarriifs make it unaffordable. Save yourself some money, don't buy GE. Ted talk over.

This week, we made emotional cards, talked about nature literacy, and practiced our Goosechase skills. Then someone made Timmy. 😀 It was a good week in Outdoor Pursuits.

I'm trying to stay focused on the students who show up and focus on learning, but I'm in a losing battle with AI.

Mask up! Too much sickness is going around. You don't have to be sick all the time.

Pin this, save it, we’ll need it. “When a prison camp opens in your town…when a DREAMer is disappeared from your classroom…when the President destroys what’s left of the Constitution…They will all say they didn’t know this was coming. And I want the American people to know that they did.” AOC 🔥🎯

Third day in a row of remote status due to weather. Ugh. I'm so over winter right now.

Despite being very purposeful about my PD in 2024 and an effort to not use personal $. I still ended up spending $1000. Grrr. This system is broken, higher ed needs to do better.

First presentation of 2025 in the books. Fantastic way to engage in poster presentations. Thanks NAKHE, it's been a great experience.

Work: You are required to engage in PD as a part of your job Me: I need funds to pay for PD Work: rejected. This is why people are fleeing education

Why do people schedule meetings during the last 2 weeks of the semester? Higher ed is sucking the life out of me--one meeting at a time.

I struggle during this time of the year. The anniversary of my mom's death (it's been 5 yrs), the darkness, and the end of the semester. On a whim, we got on a plane to Seoul. Thankful for all this time outside. Nature brings me peace.
