Really enjoyed your discussion with David this morning. As a native Croatian and a naturalised Brit, I find that the EU means different things to different countries. Especially to those with land borders. This poll result sums it up perfectly: yougov.com/en-gb/articl...

Spent this week building and deploying #Ansible to manage #Windows #AD infrastructure. Never occurred to me that it was possible, but here we are—and it works like a charm. Funny, innit? #WindowsServer #ActiveDirectory #DevOps #Automation #MicrosoftLovesAnsible #MicrosoftLovesLinux

A dynamic digital illustration based on image_0.png, showing the happy red Ansible robot managing the Windows AD infrastructure with added cooperative details. The holographic tree structure (showing "Active Directory Domain", "AD Users", etc.) is now softly integrated with a large, stylized heart outline. A heart-shaped electrical spark jumps from the robot's finger to the data point on the screen. The speech bubble with "Works like a charm!" remains. In the background, on the glowing circular data portal, the text now reads "Windoze AD" with a small, stylized four-panel window flag, replacing some previous nodes. The background server racks and high-tech blue light environment are preserved, maintaining the energetic and optimistic mood. All text, including 'ANSIBLE' and the infrastructure labels, is sharp and clear.

Wow, almost everything seems to be US-centric. It’s surprising how people seem to have forgotten that life mainly happens in their local village or neighborhood, rather than somewhere far away.

It didn’t take long to find the answer. Disney+ got me to resubscribe after barely a month and a half — all it took was Mad Men. A clever reminder that the best way to keep us subscribed forever is simply to wait us out. #MadMen #DisneyPlus #Streaming #DigitalSubscriptions

Gemini in Google Sheets doesn’t speak Croatian. It barely speaks British English. Still manually correcting “prioritize” → “prioritise” like it’s 1999. Global AI, local problems. #GoogleSheets #Gemini #AI #Croatian #BritishEnglish #LanguageMatters #MultilingualAI #LLM #FutureOfWork #GoogleAI

Finished Middlemarch. Now watching the BBC adaptation. An ideal novel for one Bluesky post, innit? 😉 Honestly, I think the book read me more than I read it. Fascinating (and slightly hilarious) how England hasn’t changed that much underneath. #Middlemarch #GeorgeEliot #Goodreads #FinishedReading

In-person lectures are the best, but jampacked daily schedules combined with super-expensive train tickets... this can be a huge barrier to entry. What makes a difference is in-person engagement, so I would look into this direction if I were a lecturer--emphasis on in-person engagement is the key.

(3/3) One good reason UK scholars should pay more attention to so-called eastern Europe—home ownership rates. That screenshot isn’t AI hallucination; it’s real. Better to face it now than when Nigel Farage ends up as our next prime minister 😬

Screenshot of a European map comparing home ownership rates by country. Eastern Europe is very high: Romania ~96%, Slovakia ~92%, Croatia ~91%, Hungary ~90%, Lithuania ~89%, Poland ~84%, Bulgaria ~84%, Latvia ~82%, Estonia ~81%. Southern Europe is also high: Spain ~76%, Portugal ~74%, Italy ~72%, Greece ~73%. Western and Northern Europe are lower: Germany ~49%, Austria ~51%, Denmark ~59%, France ~65%, UK ~65%, Ireland ~70%, Netherlands ~69%, Belgium ~72%, Sweden ~64%, Finland ~70%, Norway ~82%. The visual highlights a sharp East–West divide in ownership.

I absolutely love online ads. I'm an ads enthusiast, and I'm seriously thinking of updating my LinkedIn profile to reflect it. It's a passion, a calling, a noble quest to find that perfect, pixel-sized 'close-ad-button'—the true Holy Grail of the modern internet. #ads #adsmatter #adrevolution

A cartoon-style meme depicts the fundamental particles of an atom. The image shows a large orange circle with a plus sign labelled "PROTON", a large blue sphere labelled "NEUTRON", and a small green circle with a minus sign labelled "ELECTRON". The artist's signature, "AchiD", is in the top right corner.
