It's #PortfolioDay! I'm Igdras. I draw a whole lot of anthro lizards, usually by hand, and use the rough sketches in the final product. I also use digital tricks like photobashing to make a unique mixed media style. I'm entirely self taught and I draw almost exclusively as my hobby!

A mixed-media full body portrait of Igdras in a World War 1 styled trench, carrying a munitions crate on his back that has been repurposed into a backpack. He wields a shield in one hand and is racking a lever action rifle in the other. His armor appears to be made from brass.

Igdras advances through a burning forest, wearing a full set of armor, wielding a bardiche and shield, and a crenellated greatsword on his back.

Igdras does his best to do the Jotaro Kujo pose from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.

I realize in the last picture I didn't include any sort of indication of how big Igdras was. So have this one too. #macrofurry #scaley #scalie #mixedmedia #noai #furryart

Igdras towers over a nondescript city, looking down at it with a gentle smile. At his macro size, he would probably be about a mile tall, give or take.

Colored and finished the image from earlier today! I don't know how Igdras got so huge or how tall he is exactly, but he promises not to crush anything. ...on purpose. #macro #furry #scaley #scalie #digitalart #noai

Igdras towers over the point of view of the camera, looking down at you with a calm smile. It is unclear just how much larger he is than usual, but the perspective suggests he is at least as tall as a building.

Next P&P update should include these guys if all goes well. They're little wisps you can summon that hover around you, passively shooting at enemies like support drones. Get enough of these and you might even turn P&P into an idle game.

Found some old pictures I've sent to another artist. In the first one, you can see how I line up the center of the sole with the tip of the knee in both plantigrade and digitigrade. Also a process for the order in which I draw digi legs. If it's helpful at all!

I lizarded @incyn.bsky.social again because the original art was before I knew their pronouns were they/them and so I decided to make them more androgynous (and get their afro right). #furryart #scaley #scalie #noai

Colored the man! Dutch isn't typically this shape, he's usually short and fat. But I wanted to try new shapes, and I've been on a "long creature with short legs" kick lately... #furryart #scaley #scalie #mixedmedia #noai

Dutch, my chameleon character, represented in an unusual body shape for his character. He has a more round face, long arms, large hands, short legs, and a bit of pear shape going on.

I continue to work on stuff that seems fun. This time I redid the pause menu portrait so I could keep a consistent art style -- because there's one for every upgrade now! #indiedev #godot

I figured it'd be fun to change the blood squibs in Brass & Brine to scale off of damage dealt. This footage was captured during a test of that system with +900 Firepower. It will take a LONG time to get here legitimately. Look forward to this kind of nonsense in the next update. #indiedev #godot

I usually draw Igdras more conventionally human-shaped than I actually picture him in my head. This is a bit closer. I tried some new brushes after watching @kitkis101.bsky.social 's process during a discord call, and tried to apply what I learned! #furryart #noai #scalie #scaley

Igdras poses somewhat flamboyantly, or perhaps heroically, depending on your perspective. His body is shaped less conventionally human while still being anthro: his torso is long and thin, his hands are notably larger, and his tail physically rests on the ground to create more surface area and stability. This image was made with pencil and watercolor brushes that I've never used in my program before, creating a more storybook-esque style.

Two extremely different pieces of art you've made🖌️ Castle in a sea of lava and me teaching the party's bard the art of violence :3

A castle rises out of a sea of magma. Strange red crystals grow around it, and it appears to only be accessible via a blue portal near base of the island. The moon looms large behind the castle.

Caer Mulgori was built on an island formed by a wellspring of water formed at the bottom of an ocean of a sea of lava -- the opposite of how islands form on Earth. It thus is the only source of water in the entire world, in this fiction. The world serves as a "base of operations" for my characters, who come and go through the blue portal at the bottom.

Igdras points at some targets offscreen after handing the D&D party's bard, Cal, a shotgun. Surely Igdras is a qualified gun safety instructor (read: he is not. Finger off the trigger, Cal!)

Happy #snektember! I do like having legs, but this is quite fun too... now how do I move properly? Do I just kinda... wiggle? #furryart #scaley #scalie #mixedmedia

Igdras, but in a snake/naga form. He has sensory pits like a python does, and appears to be getting used to his current shape.

An invitation for Bsky users to tell me their headcanon about Igdras.

The last time I drew Farsil was almost a year ago. That bottom left expression gives me so much joy, I made it a sticker for discord. #furryart #scaley #scalie #mixedmedia #anthro

Farsil, an anthro lizard, depicted in fullbody and two expressions. The first one shows him laughing, and the second one shows him glaring off to the left. He wears a beret, cropped green vest, some purple beads on a necklace, baggy pants, and gold-rimmed glasses. He has a beard of plumage that extends over his upper snout and billows out at his jaw. People have told me he looks like lizard Jamie Hyneman and they're really not wrong.

There is an alternate version that I did make... I've been fairly hesitant to post this but fuck it we ball #furryart #scalie #scaley

Dutch the chameleon lounges on his back, looking quite smug. His belly and groin are both bulged out in this one, and he's giving bedroom eyes.

Today's sketch once again blossoms into a full piece! Seven years ago I drew a similar picture and used photos from Google Images to liven it up, so I figured I'd also try the same thing here. An older lineup of weapons I'd designed for a story that didn't pan out. There are three provinces (denoted by outline color) that have their own style and materials. More details in the alt text. #digitalart #weapons #fantasy

A lineup of 12 weapons -- three large swords, three halberds, three heavy blunt weapons, and three large spears. Each weapon type is represented in the style of the three predominant cultures of Igdrasias -- Dras Ishwari's weapons, outlined in gold, are ornate yet functional; Dras Jhoriani's weapons are sleek and elegant; and Dras Mulgori's weapons are intense and fiery.
These were all weapons I pictured in a story I was going to write, but quickly lost motivation to keep writing it.

Swords referenced: flamberge, Dismounter from Elden Ring, Teostra Great Sword from Monster Hunter
Halberds Referenced: Chinese Moon Halberd, bardiche
Blunt Weapons Referenced: morningstar, flanged mace, various dwarven fantasy warhammers
Spears referenced: Various lances, various fantasy spears I can't remember.

Art is a positive feedback loop of infinite joy and I was so happy with my commission from @kitkis101.bsky.social that I drew their creature too!!!! #furryart #giftart #mixedmedia

Tip the sheep (I think they're a sheep), owned by @kitkis101.bsky.social, standing in an anime-styled pose and holding an enormous drawing tablet stylus. I used a couple tools to create concentric lines as well as a multicolored threshold trace.

Commission done by @kitkis101.bsky.social !!!!!!!!! I don't often commission people since I have the mentality of "I'm an artist I can draw this myself." No I can't. I could not DREAM of an art style this cozy or the sheer joy of getting to see it!!! #furryart #scalie #oc

WIP of my first ever drawing using my new tablet! This is an old one that I couldn't be bothered to do the linework for because my wrist just hurt that much and the mouse was making it worse. This is what I managed in about fifteen minutes of getting my eye in.
