Frankly, I'd be more compelled by speculation that the Raiders did this as a way to keep him around despite the trade request. "Oops, we waited too long and the other team pulled out! Sorry, guess you're stuck with us!" But that's just speculation, with the same level of evidence as yours.

Look, all you've done is wildly speculate that the Ravens have some nefarious plot to screw over Maxx and/or the Raiders, but you haven't even shown that what happened here was abnormal or wrong. It's malpractice at best. The Ravens saw the physical and decided he wasn't worth the cost and risk.

Physicals happen before trades are finalized, and teams are allowed to back out of a trade after a physical. The results of a physical don't need to be concerning. It's up to the discretion of the team if they want to proceed, and it has to be that way or the trade system won't work.

Just because he can play through the injury doesn't mean it's a good idea. I get the general idea of what you're going after, but I don't think it's treating someone like a pawn to do what's in their best interest when it benefits nobody to do otherwise. Not an easy decision, but the right one.

Fully aware is a pretty big overstatement. That's what the physical is for. Of course he's furious he was sat for the last two games. He's a passionate competitor. Anyone should expect that. That doesn't make the team in the wrong to want what is best and pursue it when they have every right to.

This article and sentiment are YIKES. Dude had a surgery and had trouble passing a physical two months later. Does this put the Raiders in a bit of a bind? Sure, but they could have avoided this by getting him to have the surgery after it was clear the team's season was done in week 11.
