Ultraman: The Ride Well worth the trip out to Seibuen, a very charming retro-style amusement park in Saitama. Kinda like Soarin’ except not in California. (From 2:00 pm) Godzilla: The Ride Godzilla smacks you around, trashes Tokyo, destroys another Mecha-Godzilla and goes home. Typical day.

One other reason I like this game: Fox's very V3-coded color palette.

Update: Better than I expected! A few other shows made it in (Mirrorman, Operation Mystery, freaking Dinosaur Expedition Born Free of all things) along with stuff like Booska and the formerly direct-to-video Ultra Seven 1999 (no Evolution though, lol) Most importantly, I can watch Tiga again

You too can soon own a piece of the Sompote Sands Legacy of The 6 Ultra Brothers vs. The Monster Army props (and also his vintage toys) collection. www.juliensauctions.com/en/auctions/...

Highlights include a three-dimensional Ultraman painting signed by the character’s original designer, an onscreen production mask from a 1974 Tsuburaya Productions co-production, and a monumental vending machine statue that once stood outside a Bangkok theater during the franchise’s arrival in Southeast Asia.

Over 300 pieces from one of tokusatsu's most storied private archives, are now up for auctionfor the first time.

Join us September 23rd at 10 am PT live and online at Julien's Auctions.

Watching in the vain, foolish hope they'll announce that Robin Hood world and Freya Crescent are in the next one. I would also be okay with José Carioca vs Exdeath.

Bandai celebrates Ultraman's 60th anniversary by losing their minds and releasing vinyls of the A, B, C Types, and even the 1973 Taro-era suit. And this isn't even all of them (if they do 1993 Ultraman with the giant New Cyclone I am sold already)

Double Hero Summer Movie 2026 Gavan: S’alright if nothing much. Fans should enjoy it. Zeztz: Awesome! Kamen Rider rides his bike- a lot! The final battle rules. Wild plot. The villain gets SCREWED over; the heroes do not mess around. MY-TH had a cute introduction (that finisher). I liked this.

Star Fox (Nintendo Power Comic) The new game's got me feeling nostalgic. A weird relic from another time (those backstories, Fara Phoenix, space whale dad, etc) but goofy fun and Benimaru Itoh's art is great. I would like to see the parallel timeline where they asked Ishinomori to do this one too.

Fox McCloud: Emperor Andross won't be able to ignore us now. That was his favorite pig. Slippy, deliver those hyper-twinkies to the villagers right away.

Ultraman vs Kamen Rider This 1993 video special is mostly a collection of old clips and (historically important) guys sitting around talking before a cool mini team-up. It came out well before either series had their biggest second wind resurgence. It's also still the unmatched best thing ever.

-The suits look nice. I feel stylistically there is a lot of synergy with Zeztz, beyond even the chest belt on the main guy -"Eggs" is so weird and random, there's gotta be a good story there -If there is a Siamese Cat Rider then I am in financial trouble -The motorcycle should be a big cheese wedge

This was an interesting announcement considering I feel the 50th anniversary edition is pretty much the definitive release. This won't have as many sounds (pre-Rider 2) or stuff (this is back from when Hongo had basically no friends. What's it gonna come with, a coffee mug?) But I am very intrigued!

The Mandalorian and Grogu Yes it was. I knew I was going to like this when the AT-AT drivers are like “here we go I guess” like it’s Battlefront II (2005) for all of 5 seconds. A low-stakes adventure with some good action, some laughs and a few very classic effects. I had a great time with this.

The Sheep Detectives The movie where sheep try to find out who killed Hugh Jackman got me pretty teary-eyed, dammit! A charming, gentle comedy (also containing murder) that isn’t afraid to get a little deep and go into loss and grief. But it’s also about life, and never loses its heart. 🔍🐑

But I’ll tell you were he does win: at Kamen Rider the Diner, where we concluded the day with an all-Agito-themed late lunch. I didn’t try the limited-time beers sets (yes, Agito is old enough to drink now so they’ve gone all-out) but maybe next time. I’ll share some final thoughts later.

Gills (stir-fried pork & peppers with garlic rice& tomato) G7 (fruity soda) and Gills again (lychee tea)

Cold tofu with creamy sauce- yes this is a plot point in the new film

Cocoa with almond pudding (it makes sense when you see the movie)

My favorite part was the end, recreating the climatic backyard brawl. They also had a video of the 3 Riders (today) eating yakiniku, which is as synonymous with Agito as complex mysteries and Rider Kicking a god are. Of course at the end there is the shop, and merch displays. Gills just can’t win.

ポール "Igadevil" サリバン @igadevil.bsky.social · 05/05/2026

Also noteworthy is the G-Trailer recreation which you can walk through. They had a lot of signatures from the actors throughout and it’s cool that basically everyone in the main cast visited the Exhibition when it opened.

Of course a highlight for me was the monsters section. Many of the weapon props remain, as well as some masks & costume bits. Almost a Jaguar Lord exists! I’m also pleased to confirm nearly every V3 homage theory is true (confirmation that the Els of Water/Earth have Zariganna’s boots eludes me).

Don’t worry, Kino-san was there too. So was G4, the bastard. While it mainly focuses on the original Agito series, (sorry Buffalo Lord fans) they did have G6 and G7 from the recent film. The G5 unit must have bombed pretty hard, unfortunately.

ポール "Igadevil" サリバン @igadevil.bsky.social · 05/05/2026

They did a good job representing the original core concept of the show- it’s a story about 3 Riders. The series was developed around the idea of “a man who is Kamen Rider, a man trying to become Kamen Rider, and a man who has become Kamen Rider (in a negative sense)”

Kamen Rider G3 (and every successive version) was there

ポール "Igadevil" サリバン @igadevil.bsky.social · 05/05/2026

The Exhibition had basically everything! If it wasn’t original, they did faithful recreations. Most of it can be photographed, although there’s a few things that are NG (including the great video story recaps they made for each Rider, obviously).
