There is nothing in the motion about the US. WHo is funding genocide is not the major point. Genocide is an evil act no matter who is behind it. Just focussing on one and ignoring the others just because the US isn't involved is morally bankrupt.

Except it isn't. The policy is so badly thought through it can be argued in all sorts of directions. What they may mean and what it says are different things. What is clear is just how disastrous this is for the Greens and how toxic the hard left are politically.

The 48 pg pamphlet that went with it openly called for armed struggle against Israel. They then call for a single Palestinian state "from the River to the Sea" which by definition means the destruction of Israel. You may not want to see it, but it is all there. Don't argue what you haven't read.

She made them sound mildly competent and sensible. Trying to drag the Greens away from the "enviroloonies" moniker that the likes of the Daily Wail would throw at them, was a pretty decent achievement I'd say.

The Corbynistas have performed a coup and taken the Greens from being a real alternative, to a "Your Party" style irrelevance in one fell swoop. I suspect they are going to tank in terms of membership and polling after this. Polanski looks hugely weak too. Total disaster for them.

I have been a Lib Dem member for a while, due to their stance on rejoining the EU. However, the more I see of the party, the less I consider them having any real hope going forwards. There is very little real passion or strong ideological position which is vital for a political party.

I love it when people first get solar, the sheer joy of watching as you make your own electricity is fantastic. It becomes normal after a while and I don't even look at the app anymore, but I know it is doing what it needs to and our bills (or lack of them) are testament to that.
