She crossed her arms and leaned into the door frame. “Well, here I am.”
“That you are.” He visibly swallowed, eyes flitting about and refusing to latch onto hers. “So, uh... did you and Aerith trade rooms or something?”
“No?”
He blinked, then his jaw dropped. “Wait... then is she—”
“Do you need something, Barret?”
“I, uh... well, the thing is... we were... about to head out? Sort of? Kind of late in the day, already. Me and the others didn’t know where you were at or when you’d be down.” His brows furrowed. “You missed breakfast, girl!”
A gasp sounded from inside. “Wait, we missed it?!”
