Lot o bethau da i weld ar maes yr #Eisteddfod ond hwn ‘dir gorau. ‘House of the Dragon’ poster from 1926? No, just the best National Eisteddod poster ever creted by Evan Walters. The one currently on display is the only surviving copy as all were destroyed as it was seen as too vulgar!

I’m so close to be fully transitioned from After Effects to Fusion / Nuke 😩 at least they saved my project #postChat

After Effects crash alert dialogue on macOS. The message reads: "A copy of your project was saved at: /Users/iestyn/Projects/Deian a Loli 2025/01 BWGAN/After Effects/Ribi1-2025_3_1 (converted)_1.aep." The last log message shows an unhandled signal error: signal (std::uint64_t): "11" — indicating a SIGSEGV (segmentation fault). A crash log is being generated.

The new 2026 Adobe Premier is not ready for primetime. Importing an .aaf from Avid results in a broken mess. Davinci Resolve has no problems with this. Get back to me once you sort yourself out Adobe #PostChat

… and the restoration doesn’t seem to follow what Vilmos Zsigmond and Robert Altman intended. The blacks are now crushed and the colours aren’t pastel. Shame. Here are some comparison shots from blu-ray.com #PostChat

iOS 26 question, wasn’t the idea of Liquid Glass to make the screen more 3D looking. Shouldn’t the glint at the edge of my app icons move with the accelerometer? Mine are static and make the screen feel flatter than ever

@snell.zone just read your ‘Sleeping with the Apple Watch’ article. The reason I sleep with it is for the HRV measurement that feeds Athlytic and Training Today apps. They provide a reading of how much to push my workouts, or if I should take the day off and just go for a walk. Really handy

Apple Watch screenshot, with Athlytic app measuring bottom left at 40% recovery. Training today app bottom right with measurement of 4.5 out of 10. They both provide this measurement in a different way, so I track both to see how accurate each other is. I find them really useful on knowing what days to go all out and what days to take it easy.

Calling all font nerds, anyone able to name the fonts used here? I can see Futura, but the others I'm stumped. Been through all the gothics of the era, nothing seems to match. Might they be custom? One looks like Gotham, but obviously isn't. cc/ @jonathanhoefler.bsky.social

I know I'm a bit behind, but #Severance S2E7 - Chikhai Bardo was such an amazing turn of pace. Great choice in giving Jessica Lee Gagné (the DoP) full control to take it in a different direction. Especially choosing to film the past on film.
