Today marks 45 years since Lagan College, the first Integrated school in Northern Ireland, opened its doors. Lagan College was pioneered by a group of brave parents who simply wanted their children to be educated together. This remains the desire of the majority of parents in NI today.

The IEF team were delighted to visit the Linen Hall Integrated Education exhibition yesterday. One memorable display in the exhibition shows Sheila Greenfield’s diaries. Sheila was the courageous & pioneering first Principal of the very first Integrated school, Lagan College, which opened in 1981.
