I’ll say this again: I’m not very religious these days, but sometimes I believe that man’s getting into power is God’s punishment on us. Not for the reasons conservative Christians often think, but for our neglecting the poor, the outcasts, the foreigners, & the “least of these” in our society. 😔

Republic FC came away with a 1-1 tie tonight. It was kind of a strange game with a lot of either injuries, or flopping, or both. The good news is that we qualified for a spot in the playoffs. If our position in the standings holds, there will be a home playoff game.

No doubt. But I think what you’re missing here is that in decades past, there used to be plenty of songs in the Top 10, and lots of best-selling albums, that happened to be good and sometimes even excellent music. Many of them were so popular that people are still listening to them now. (Cont’d)

In the E.L.O. song “Don’t Bring Me Down,” I always thought they were singing “BRUCE!” in the chorus. Since I knew the song was made in the ‘70s and Bruce Lee was one of the most famous celebrities at that time, I thought they were singing about him! They’re actually singing “Gruss!” for some reason.

Once as a child I saw on TV what I believe was a PSA about the dangers of heart disease. They dramatized this by showing a shirtless man sitting in a chair with what appeared to be a ticking time bomb strapped to his chest! It scared the crap out of me, worrying the guy was going to blow up. 😳

I was listening to a “Yacht Rock” Pandora station at work this morning, and I noticed this 1970s photo of the group Player. I know rock stars can be pretty smug sometimes, but these guys just look totally P.O.’d at their audience! Maybe this is why “Baby” left in the first place. 😆🎵🎶
