Have you had a chance to play Apiary yet? A worker placement game with aging workers. And what are they? Space bees! Good times. #boardgames

Enjoyed a weekend of gaming. I finally removed Camp Pinetop from my Shelf of Opportunity. Don’t sleep on it. Great theming. Fun mechanics. #boardgames

Got to play Rebirth & also squeezed in a round of Ra last night. Two very different experiences, but both showcase R. Knizia’s signature elegance—tight, clever, and deceptively simple. The man really knows how to make games that feel fair… even when you’re barely winning. 🎲 #BoardGames #RainerKnizia

Enjoyed a game of Orleans the other day. One of my favorites that I don’t own. #boardgames

Finally got to play Fled! It’s a fun little puzzle and a bowl of nice frustration when you can’t do everything you want.

One of my highlights of Origins 2025 was playing The First Monday of October. A great worker placement immersed in theme. At the same time you don’t need to love the theme to appreciate the game play. #boardgames @fortcircle.bsky.social

Finally got to play Arcs at Origins after watching it light up other tables all weekend. Tight, clever, beautiful—totally worth the wait. Sad to leave, but what a way to close it out. #OriginsGameFair #ArcsGame #BoardGames #PostConBlues #timeforanap

Sitting down for Dune: Imperium at Origins—time to choose my leader. Who should I be? •🤴 Baron Harkonnen – top-tier villainy •🛡️ Duke Leto Atreides – alliance-stealer •🐗 Glossu “The Beast” Rabban – brute #DuneImperium #OriginsGameFair

Taught Weather Machine at Origins and completely botched the rules. Somehow… very on theme. Still a blast, still confusing, still ready for round 2. #VitalLacerda #OriginsGameFair #WeatherMachine #BoardGameChaos

Had a nice game night playing Harmonies and Trailblazer: The Arizona Trail. #boardgames

A board game on a table. The game has a map of the Arizona trail and features many Arizona colors like copper and turquoise.

A board game board that shows circle discs of a variety of colors with plastic cubes on some of them that represent animals.

Who is going to escape? #boardgames I’m a big fan of Mark’s Feudum. This will be quite different.

Game night at the brewery was a success! Got to revisit the classic Stone Age—always a fun blend of strategy and luck. Plus, I played Harmonies for the first time, and wow, what a gem! Great games, great brews (in this case Ciders), and great company. 🍺🎲 #BoardGames

Why haven’t I played Apiary in so long? This game has bits I enjoy: strategy, beautiful design, and that sweet theme of bees building their hive. It’s been too long since I dove into this world of worker bees, honey production, and hive expansion! 🐝 #BoardGames #Apiary #BeeKind

Can’t get enough of Vital Lacerda’s masterpieces! His games are like diving into a world of intricate strategy, tough choices, and immersive storytelling. Can’t wait to dive back in and get my brain working with his genius designs. Who else is ready for another round? #BoardGames #VitalLacerda

Played Trailblazer: The John Muir Trail last night. A great worker placement game rich in thematic touches. If you haven’t tried it yet - get after it! It’s follow up, the Arizona Trail is on Kickstarter now! #boardgames

Normally I might balk at a game with a theme like Nidavellir, but this game is great. A very approachable bit deep as you make it bidding and set collection game. Fresh twists on tried and true game play. boardgames
