A good reason to decide on today's playlist

Happy to proofread your updated marketing for developers guide 😂

Yeah, we're also doing fine but I imagine it being super hard for new indie companies that could previously carve out a SEO niche

Don't forget that search is down and people just ask AI, so how does discovery of new things work at all?

We all learned it this way, I think that's how successful people differ from the rest, we try again (and again, and again) until it works.

That's the biggest one that i attended more than 20 years ago and their website is still online! www.millannium.de/layout/c4_2....

Did you try to feed the markdown to a bunch of Claude agents? As long as you're only using it with friends and family and not putting this out as a product, that should be a quick session

Yep, I'll share my progress in a couple months!

Just realized that we went for the same colors!

I printed the demo projects this week to see what I could use and if it's the right fit for me. I've had a hard time screwing the multi points in that print folded but may or may not get a new printer when I get my new office and have more space.

We're moving to a new house in a couple months and I have so many ideas for mine

110

Sebastian Schlein @idontcare.lol · 06/11/2025

I believe there is a middle ground and it's completely project dependent - while smaller projects with fixed scopes can easily have fixed prices, larger ones have so many moving parts and changing requirements that they almost always require hourly billing.

100

Sebastian Schlein @idontcare.lol · 06/11/2025

You could also argue that hourly billing leads to working slowly on purpose and that fixed prices oriented on value works best for both parties 😉

If it's from DJI, why can't it fly and clean up everything else too?

While we don't use a chatbot for direct customer support, our help desk provider was also down – so customers could pay, didn't get an email or their products and also weren't able to contact anyone about it 🙈

Sebastian Schlein @idontcare.lol · 09/10/2025

I built one with Marcel like 6-7 years ago as one that can be branded by companies and where their customers can create friend groups and have high scores and what not. Didn't see the light of the day because we never landed a bigger brand using it 😅

Days after he learned from Selenski that there are no elections while being at war

Sounds like it was made by the VPN industry

010

Sebastian Schlein @idontcare.lol · 25/07/2025

I fully agree with that. Also people usually don't like getting pulled into a conversation with 200 and more people at the same time and being recorded

050

Sebastian Schlein @idontcare.lol · 25/07/2025

As always, that depends on the size of the pile 😅

Sebastian Schlein @idontcare.lol · 12/07/2025

People forget that it's not about the work but the possibilities that it creates. While I deeply care about the quality of our software and love that it is used by so many developers, I ultimately do it because I just want to be independent and do whatever I want all day, every day.

Yes! Absolute hate magic links with no password option

110

Sebastian Schlein @idontcare.lol · 08/07/2025

I like it so much if there is only a magic login link and no way to set a password from the password manager.

This makes you realize how many one megapixel is and how bad humans are at picturing numbers.

If I've to choose between pour over and aero press I am absolutely an aero press person but I am usually lazy and put the good coffee beans into the automated machine 😅

Na, they just do racial profiling – at least on the border to the Netherlands that I cross about monthly

Sebastian Schlein @idontcare.lol · 23/06/2025

There's no way to get even a fraction of the required certifications as a small company. They spend everything on paper.

010

Sebastian Schlein @idontcare.lol · 23/06/2025

No worries, this time, it's just lighting money on fire without any result at all. It's just gone.

Sebastian Schlein @idontcare.lol · 18/06/2025

Our first day was pretty eye-opening too 😂

Sebastian Schlein @idontcare.lol · 20/05/2025

I just need @ianlandsman.com for poker and politics, @malwaretech.com for real AI takes, politics and shitposting. No noise without a messy algorithm that leverages clickbait and far right bs

I tried getting tickets for my 3 year old and me but they were all booked for the race weekend (and luckily there were no training laps or races during the week)

030

Sebastian Schlein @idontcare.lol · 28/04/2025

I've your booking a calm vacation with the kids, check if there is a race track next to it!

We're running all registrations through Cleantalk and got rid of 99% of that for all of our sites. It's like 5 lines of code in the auth controller 🙂

I'm in. Buying everything that's labeled for tall people

020

That's the downside of a remote internet business. We'll never have a great building with a huge sign that anyone can see from the highway so that our friends and family actually would see that we've made it 😂

I have a collection of newsletter with "Hello {firstname}" somewhere

I mailed (because they didn't pick up the phone) and asked for the confirmation of the house number for our new to build house based on the location of the plot. Got a reply that my guess of the number is correct but that it could also be that it's not. I'm confused now.

Is there a statement from ublock about this? Chrome disabled all extensions that had a v2 manifest file for everyone who ignored all their messages and we got bitten by this too.

While it's hard to read the toxic stuff, you get used to cut through it with such a huge audience at some point. Annoying but that's unfortunate part of the success.

Sebastian Schlein @idontcare.lol · 01/03/2025

Totally agree, there's so much toxic noise

I've read it as: People miss 2FA and would love to see team support in the starter kits. Some would also like to see Herd for Linux.
