4.: being unable to figure out locking the cursor to the game screen on multiple monitors, such as incorrectly obscuring or disabling the cursor during gameplay resulting in accidentally clicking out of games or otherwise interacting with the OS or other software outside of the fullscreen game

3.: some (especially id tech 4 and 5) games seemingly can't correctly resolve X and Y motions simultaneously, resulting is what feels like being incapable to accurately move the mouse diagonally, only orthogonally

2.: GZDoom and a bunch of games running on it have the inverse problem of seemingly filtering out or just not registering mouse movements "too slow or small", resulting in the loss of fine control at lower speeds and smaller motions

I play on a 45x45cm mouse mat and aim with my entire forearm because I have carpal tunnel and need to minimize my wrist motions as much as I can to reduce undue strain

this results in low-sensitivity + high-DPI settings having a capped mouse movement speed that only lasts for the duration of the ongoing motion, rather than making the distance of the motion recreated on screen

basically, the software is clearly not recreating the actual distance the mouse has moved, but instead handles the mouse's directional motion as a vector for a continuous input like an analog stick

oh it did, just not the kind that is tolerable on a modern high-DPI mouse there's a few common ways that games fuck up mouse inputs: 1.: there's a weird sort of "virtual analog stick" method that this game also has that is a recurring problem for me in a number of games
